What do people think of this name? We're really struggling to find a middle name, I prefer one syllable names with Daisy. Also love the name Lily, so can anyone suggest middle names to go with Daisy or Lily? I came across Beau today and actually really like it, but curious as to what others think (I know I shouldn't care but I don't know if hormones are allowing me to think straight)Grin

Beau is the masculine form of the word in French. It means handsome, not beautiful. I would think it an extremely weird name for a girl.

Balladenny · 18/08/2019 21:47

If you want a French one syllable middle name, what about Daisy Fleur? (It is quite floral though)

Balladenny · 18/08/2019 21:49

Other ideas:
Daisy Gwen
Daisy Joan (same vowel sound as Beau)
Daisy Maude
Daisy Nell
Daisy Ruth
Daisy Wren

As another poster said Beau is a masculine name. Belle would be the female version.

SoyDora · 18/08/2019 21:49

Well it means handsome (masculine) in French. I’m not keen.
I actually know a ‘Beau Daisy’.

Sodastream24 · 18/08/2019 21:49

No. Sorry.

babyno2cooking · 18/08/2019 21:49

Oh didn't know that Pp, I always thought it was a feminine name! Maybe not then Grin our surname begins with F so I think Fleur sounds odd with it, lovely name though thanks for the suggestion!

What about Daisy Blue? Also slightly quirky with a similar sound.

babyno2cooking · 18/08/2019 21:52

Daisy Belle is actually on our list too, I never knew one was the feminine version and the other masculine, interesting Smile

I was about to say the same as Balladenny

It would be an odd choice for a girl.

Agree that unless your Daisy is a little boy, it doesn’t work.

However, I think you have some nice options. I also think Daisy could work with a longer middle name eg Daisy Elizabeth.

Cookit · 19/08/2019 07:12

@SoyDora do you think they know they’ve actually named a daughter (I’m assuming it’s a daughter) beautiful/ handsome boy?

MarigoldGlove · 19/08/2019 07:17

Beau and Daisy and brother and sister on the Dukes of Hazard.

TroysMammy · 19/08/2019 07:17

Daisy Bell is the title of the song (A Bicycle Made For Two).

SoyDora · 19/08/2019 07:34

Cookit no I don’t think they do!

Awwlook,
