No worries. Names that have different spellings or get misspelt can be a PITA.
I thought the name Eloise was pretty until I saw it misspelt as Elouise on here

Southfox · 15/08/2019 18:30

I like the name Brooke, really pretty and not dated x

Brook/Brooke is a good strong name and not fussy at all.

museumum · 15/08/2019 20:55

If you like Brooke what about Brodie? I quite like it for a girl.

lalafafa · 15/08/2019 20:58

It’s a bit Essex

WanderingTrolley1 · 15/08/2019 21:00

Love Brooke.

Confused

Agree with @HMArsey. It’s a bit chavvy/American.

Amelie is REALLY popular so I would steer clear of that if you don’t want her to have the same name as everyone else.

whattodowith · 16/08/2019 10:09

Definitely very 90s, not personally a fan.

Amelie is one of mine and DH’s favourite movies so we’d love to use that but it’s just too common now for whatever reason Sad.

starkid · 16/08/2019 11:40

A bit American nineties books/tv/films, but not terrible. I'm not a fan of your other ones, except maybe if you were open to Cecily spelling instead?

PetraRabbit · 16/08/2019 12:26

I'm not sure it's dated in the UK. It might be dated in America. It is an American type name.

I really love Xanthe. Fiorella is very flowery but I like that too. Cicely is classy. They all seem to be of a similar type of name.

Amelie and Lila are very trendy (overused) and will date badly if that bothers you. They have a top 10 kind of feel to them as they're so similar to other very popular names.

Sophronia · 16/08/2019 22:21

It does feel a bit 90s / early 2000s. I would also put Brooke in the same camp as Paige, Maddison, Jade, Shannon etc.

BethanyGilbert · 18/08/2019 18:59

Brooke is nice. Xanthe is a ridiculous name.

Twelve8Ts · 18/08/2019 21:16

@BethanyGilbert What makes it ‘ridiculous’?
