Heidi

Heidi. I have a friend called Heidi and she's never had a problem. It's v old film now anyway. Also more unusual than Molly. I'm a teacher tho so probably also biased as I know lots of badly behaved Mollys!

bridgetreilly · 12/08/2019 15:29

Molly. I really don't like Heidi, though, tbh, Molly wouldn't be my top choice either.

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/08/2019 15:30

Heidi.

CheckingOutTheQuantocks · 12/08/2019 15:56

I don't think most kids now would have heard of the book or series Heidi, and anyway, wouldn't it be quite a positive association? The title character wasn't horrible or anything!

I don't really like Molly because it sounds too cutesy and more like a name for a pet. I can imagine an adult woman called Heidi as easily as a little girl.

SoftBlocks · 12/08/2019 15:58

Heidi.

Another vote for Heidi

Molly makes me think golden retriever

99bb · 12/08/2019 17:04

Unhelpfully, I love them both

Greensleeves · 12/08/2019 17:07

Both lovely but I marginally prefer Heidi

My friend is called Heidi and she's lovely, always liked her name and I've recently met a baby Heidi who is adorable Smile

missmouse101 · 12/08/2019 17:12

Heidi much better.

daisypond · 12/08/2019 17:17

Hm, not keen on either as both are way too cutesy for me. Heidi, at a push.l but I definitely think of the book character.

Butterfly005 · 12/08/2019 17:23

Love Heidi!

Peachbubble · 12/08/2019 17:54

Heidi, always liked it.

Frith2013 · 12/08/2019 18:01

My son has 3 Mollies in his class.

I don’t like the name Heidi.

Atlasta · 12/08/2019 19:18

I much prefer Heidi. I do think of Austria and the stereotypical blonde braids which makes it difficult to imagine a dark eyed and dark haired Heidi (very likely baby will be dark/olive colouring).
I do like Molly but I can't imagine an adult Molly as pp mentioned. I, however don't see the cat link like my friend!

Has a cat called molly...

m0therofdragons · 12/08/2019 20:21

I have a Heidi (she's blonde with blue eyes but will have brown hair by her teens). I love her name and haven't met many. She loves that there is a book series with her name. Her middle name is Matilda so that's also a book. It's not like the book is inappropriate.
