If we like...

First baby due in a few weeks time and we cannot for the life of us agree on a girls name! I'd love a name that's uncommon but not unique/something that might be considered odd or made up. I'm also quite drawn to nature names I think. DH seems to like more classic names but has struggled to come up with many.

Names I really like which have been vetoed by DH (his reasons in brackets):
Poppy (likes it but feels it suits a younger person and no so much an adult)
Ophelia (just out and out no!)
Ottilie (my current favourite but his least - he is convinced that I made this up and it's not a real name)
Fearne (bad association with someone he once knew)
Autumn (too trendy/just no)
Savannah (too trendy)
Arya (too game of thrones)
Tabitha (nice but sounds like a cat)
Ylva (likes it but said it would be too hard for people to pronounce and spell)

Names he's come up with which I've vetoed (my reasons in brackets!):
Alicia (bad association and feels a bit stiff/stern when said with our surname)
Callie (too close to a family members name - and not a particularly nice one - although it's not an 100% no)

We both quite like Freya, but we have a close friend with that name and it would feel a bit odd to us to use it.

I also love Wren, Neve, Ivy, Fawn, Jasmine and India as middle names, but he's not convinced by any of those either.

Would so appreciate your thoughts and ideas for names that we might both love!! Thank you :)

Wow thank you! Loads of suggestions already. I'll run them all by DH tonight. I did also see Callia on another thread this afternoon which caught my eye and I wondered about - might be a grower! Please keep the suggestions coming :D

I'm Irish so this one doesn't look difficult to me like it apparently does to other people everyone I've ever met but I also love Caoimhe (pronounces keeva/ kueeva depending on accent). It just looks so pretty 😍

If you like Poppy but he feels it suits a child better than an adult, how about Pippa?

I also think you might both like Clara.
