DC2 due in 2 weeks and we cannot agree on a name. It’s a boy - we already have a DD Freya.

Thoughts on Flynn? He’d probably be Flynn Patrick.

It's a bit of a wet, floppy name on it's own.

Frank? Finnegan? Frederick?

LuluBellaBlue · 23/07/2019 15:23

Love it and goes well with Freya ❤️

TheRedFox · 23/07/2019 16:10

I don't mind the name but it's a bit matchy with Freya for me.

Fatkins · 23/07/2019 16:29

I'm not keen on it. I think it's the Fl... bit. Nothing good starts with Fl... Flab, Flint, Flubber, Flibbertigibbet, Flabbergasted etc.

Just me Grin?

I love Fionn, but not sure it goes with Freya... How about;

Magnus
Otis
Ezra
Reuben
Miles
Milo

Atlasta · 23/07/2019 16:31

Not keen.
My first thought with Freya was Oscar.

Powerplant · 23/07/2019 16:33

Or just Fynn.

TemporaryPermanent · 23/07/2019 16:44

Love it.

Also love Quinn?

Frith2013 · 23/07/2019 16:48

It’s too similar to Freya.

Cbeebiesrehab · 23/07/2019 17:26

Apart from starting with the same letter I don’t really see how Flynn is too similar the Freya?
I quite like Flynn. Will probably be misheard as the more common Finn quite regularly but I don’t see that as a major problem. It’s a nice, simple, easy to spell name-and it sounds nice with Patrick👍🏻

MikeUniformMike · 23/07/2019 18:46

Floyd? Flynn is ok but with so many Finns and Finlays around it could be a bit of a pain.

daisypond · 23/07/2019 19:02

Hm. It’s a bit casual hippy next to Freya. Also both begin with F, which I don’t like for siblings.

AquaPris · 23/07/2019 19:21

Love it.

AquaPris · 23/07/2019 19:22

Plus Flynn Ryder

Lavenderblues · 23/07/2019 19:42

Much prefer Quinn!

Hawkinsfirefly99 · 23/07/2019 19:44

I think of Flid..

Fivefootoffun · 23/07/2019 20:34

Thanks all. I’m clutching at straws as feel we’ve been through every single name and still can’t agree!

@fatkins I love Fionn too but we can’t use it due to close friends having one.

The only other name we semi agree on is Toby but I’m not convinced. Find boys names so hard!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, really helps.

I LOVE Toby. Millions better than Flynn.

Fivefootoffun · 23/07/2019 21:09

Thanks @sneakypinky - I do really like it too I just don’t know if it’s a bit nick namey?! Don’t think I’d want Tobias on birth certificate either. Going round in circles tbh!

MsTSwift · 23/07/2019 21:09

Flynn and Finn are quite wet insipid names but oddly popular

teenmum18 · 23/07/2019 21:16

What about Jarvis? Sounds nice with Freya.

Zebrasinpyjamas · 23/07/2019 21:19

I like Flynn but I don't think you do enough! Dylan?

sneakypinky · 23/07/2019 21:22

No I think Toby is a great name on its own!

Jellystars · 23/07/2019 21:40

I like it but too similar to Freya.
I like Toby!

Fivefootoffun · 23/07/2019 21:45

Thanks for the suggestions all!

I love the name Flynn. I don't know how it's a 'wet' sounding name. I never understand that comparison 🤷‍♀️
