basically just that please, which name do you prefer? (both go well with the middle name) ps this is for my sister who is pregnant with a little girl and has asked me to make this thread due to her not having a Mumsnet account! thank you!

I like both but prefer Piper

Is Gia pronounced with a hard or soft G? I genuinely have no idea and not sure if this would be a common cause of confusion?

Piper. I like Gaia as a name, not so keen on Gia, I think you will be constantly telling people how to pronounce it.

Both are pretty dreadful. Maybe Piper on the basis I can say it.

I have a 7yo Gia. Pronounced like Gina without the N. I love it, she gets loads of compliments on it.

And we chose it after watching the film with Angelina Jolie

If Gia is pronounced the way I think it is it almost sounds like “jeer” so I’m not sure I’m keen... that could be my channel island accent though

Piper is ok but I prefer Harper, a name I consider similar
