Zara- lovely, classy.
Lara- lovely, classy but prefer Zara. (Love Clara even moreSmile)
Robyn- dated, wannabe 90s tomboy.
Marina- very dated. Middle-aged/elderly. Want to sound 'exotic'Grin

DuchessSybilVimes · 01/07/2019 18:14

Zara - great. Unusual but easy to say and spell. Very cool to be Z. Lastname.

Lara - a bit meh. All very soft sounds make it lack oomph.

Robyn - agree, a bit dated.

Marina - just makes me want to sing Aqua Marina!

ReganSomerset · 01/07/2019 18:14

Ha- from the title, I thought rate and slate were your name ideas!

Lara is the best.

simonthedog · 01/07/2019 18:16

Marina reminds me of the Last of the Summer Wine character, terrible. The others are all lovely.

TheRedFox · 01/07/2019 18:17

@ReganSomerset 😂

Must have been very disappointing when you saw the actual names!

Love Lara, like Zara, hate Marina and Robyn.

FindaPenny · 01/07/2019 18:19

Lara, very pretty
Robyn, I like it... Maybe with the traditional spelling?
Marina and Zara... I'm not keen on either.... Zara sounds too hard and Marina I just don't like.

Icklepup · 01/07/2019 18:25

I like Lara

ReganSomerset · 01/07/2019 18:56

theredfox I've heard worse! I think Slate is the better of the two...

DrDentyst · 01/07/2019 18:59

I like them all but Robyn is my favourite (I'm clearly in a minority though 😬).

I believe Marina is considered quite dated in Italy but it's never really been popular enough in the UK to be dated.

SoftBlocks · 01/07/2019 19:00

I like Lara.

diddlediddle · 01/07/2019 19:17

I like Marina, it's the most unusual of your choices and it's a nice sound.

AuntGertrude · 01/07/2019 19:20

Marina, definitely.

AverageMummy · 01/07/2019 19:20

Zara and Lara are nice although Clara is even better
Not a fan of the other two

AnonymousP · 01/07/2019 19:36

Love Zara. I like all of them but least favourite is Marina, which is a bit fussy for me. Mina or Nina?

Shadow1234 · 01/07/2019 21:13

Lara is lovely
Robyn would be my second choice
Marina is ok
Zara is my least favourite (prefer Sara as it has a softer sound)

TheRedFox · 01/07/2019 21:28

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone - lots to think about!

Fatkins · 01/07/2019 21:31

I really like Zara and Robyn.

I'm not all that keen on Lara and find that quite dated funnily enough. I dislike Marina a lot. It just reminds me of a marina, as in, where you would leave your boat 😂. You know "let's go down to the marina for a bag of chips", "there's a big ship in the marina".

Satchell · 01/07/2019 21:31

I also really like Clara...are you not up for that one OP? But of your list I prefer Zara.

DramaAlpaca · 01/07/2019 21:34

I like Zara, Lara & Marina. I'm not so keen on Robyn.

CarrieBlu · 01/07/2019 21:35

I love love love Marina, always reminds me of Marina Diamandis who is just beautiful!

The other names are nice too though Smile

TheRedFox · 01/07/2019 22:33

@Satchell No not up for Clara funnily enough!

AlliKaneErikson · 01/07/2019 23:19

Lara’s my favourite (it’s my dd’s Name!).

Sophronia · 02/07/2019 04:13

Marina is my favourite. I also like Lara and Zara. Not keen on Robyn. I prefer Robin for a boy.

MikeUniformMike · 02/07/2019 09:24

I like all of them.
Lara - lovely, Croft and Dr Zhivago
Marina - classy and makes me think of sea and yachts, although I am old enough to remember the car.
Robyn - cute
Zara - nice but maybe a bit too popular.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably choose Marina or Lara.
