Nicknames for 'Ophelia"

We recently had our baby girl Ophelia but we are struggling to come up with a cute nickname for her (and yes, we would like a nickname.)

Not keen on Lia...

Any other suggestions? Happy for 'out of the box' ideas too!

Phee fi sounding

Filly? Ps LOVE the name Ophelia!

Nicknames tend to evolve naturally, for example my DS is called Rumbles at home. Clearly that is not his name (and I'm unsure how it started, it's nothing like his name).

Phee is the most natural nickname for Ophelia that I can think of but to be honest it doesn't lend itself well to being shortened.

Ophie.

Ophelia is easy to say - I wouldn't shorten at all!

As others have said, nicknames evolve naturally and sometimes bear no relation to the name eg Pebbles.

Ophie sounds like Offy, something that is off

I would go with Fifi as a nickname

The Ophelia I met is a 'Fi'

Phi is cute. Adore the name Ophelia. DD,12, is nicknamed Whizzkins. Her real name is nothing like that.

Ophelia is lovely. I really wouldn't shorten it.

Fifi sounds like a dogs name. Ophelia is so much nicer!

I know an Ophelia whose nickname is Feely

I worked with a girl named Ophelia once and she went by 'O' and "Fee".

Ophelia doesn't really have any natural nicknames. Certainly not Phil or Feely

Call her Ophelia.

Why choose such a lovely name and then shorten it to something that will make her sound like a poodle?
