Which month names do you think are unacceptable to use as names?

I know these are in common use:
April
May
June
August

But what about the others?

I love January, as in January Jones.

August is also fab.

diddlediddle · 20/06/2019 20:43

Oh do you? So do I!

January, May and June.
Only like January.

BlueMerchant · 20/06/2019 20:45

All others are a no.

Soubriquet · 20/06/2019 20:45

I like November as a girls name

IsolaPribby · 20/06/2019 20:46

February would make a very sad child!

Scissor · 20/06/2019 20:47

I would say July or Julie are ok

Popetthetreehugger · 20/06/2019 20:48

My DM was May , after her mum ... she was born in February! I have a friend called January... very cool 😎 and she is !

highdoh · 20/06/2019 20:50

I knew a July once, it was pronounced Julie and she spent a lot of time explaining this. I wouldn't bother with July. Season names too- Summer, Autumn and Winter. Never heard of a Spring though.

InterchangeableEmma · 20/06/2019 20:52

January
April
May
June
August

Yes, fine. Julie / Julia? It isn't really a month name but OTOH It'd feel themey to combine it with one of the above, so maybe it sort of is.

There's only Augustus / Augusto / Augustine etc for boys, I think.

BabloHoney · 20/06/2019 20:53

I knew a girl called December at university. She played bass in a band and looked a bit like Justine from Elastica. I thought it was a super cool name at the time but looking back I doubt very very much it was her real name haha

diddlediddle · 20/06/2019 20:53

Are January, March, October, November too out there?

OP posts:
MonaChopsis · 20/06/2019 20:58

I know both a September and a Spring... Not what I would choose, but you get used to them!

B1rdinthebush · 20/06/2019 21:12

My daughter is called June so obviously I think it's lovely!

HoratioNightboy · 20/06/2019 21:37

I've seen them all in use apart from March. Winter months usually hyphenated with something else, e.g. December-Rose.

AverageMummy · 20/06/2019 21:57

April is nice
I hate the rest

Crunchymum · 20/06/2019 21:59

I know a Friday

SlimGin · 20/06/2019 22:20

I like January, October is pretty but would have to be a very particular type of girl

March is a nice middle name for a boy

xSharonNeedlesx · 20/06/2019 22:21

Not months but I love the name Wednesday for a girl. All other days of the week not so much.

BarryBarryTaylor · 20/06/2019 22:24

Isn’t there a famous actor who has a son called December, I’m sure I read that somewhere only yesterday! Can’t remember the actors name though...🤷🏻‍♀️

I find it hard to imagine October and November being a good name.
March wouldn’t surprise me, and neither would January

Iwantacookie · 20/06/2019 22:26

I know a 17 year old lad called November. I love it.

StCharlotte · 20/06/2019 22:37

My Mum knew someone called Lady January Lemon Smile

Sophronia · 20/06/2019 23:08

I like July

Harebel · 20/06/2019 23:46

April, May, June, July(Julie/Julia), Augusta, and Nova at a push otherwise the rest are all laughable.

eBae · 20/06/2019 23:47

Isn't there a writer called October Jones?
