What does the name Candice suggest about a child's background/parents?

It reminds me of a kids American cartoon, seems a perfectly pleasant American name.

Name: bit sickly and naff. But not as bad as Satan.

The name makes me picture a breakfast TV weather presenter, or a QVC saleswoman. Perky and bit annoying. I'm not sure I'd make any assumptions about Candice's parents.

It’s popular in South Africa. I have a friend called Candice (pronounced CAN-diss rather than can-DEES) and she’s ace so it now has v positive associations for me!

Are you talking about class? I think it’s quite a classless name. I don’t really like it but it doesn’t say one thing or the other to me.
