Love it

Very Elizabethan

FizzBuzzBangWoof · 14/06/2019 21:00

Sorry I'm not keen

To me it just sounds like an extra frilly version of Gloria

OldAndWornOut · 14/06/2019 21:00

Wow!
I do like it.
It seems like a real statement of a name, somehow.

parrotonmyshoulder · 14/06/2019 21:01

I love Gloria. Glorianna is a bit much for me.

SnowdropFox · 14/06/2019 21:03

I like it! Unusual but not weird. Gloria is a bit old person to me so prefer it with Anna on the end.

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 14/06/2019 21:05

Gloryhole

OldAndWornOut · 14/06/2019 21:07

Ooh! Sad

TatianaLarina · 14/06/2019 21:08

Gloriana is the name.

RubyBluee · 14/06/2019 21:08

Reminds me of the Victoria themetune
Gloorrriaaaaana
Don’t like it sorry

Jamhandprints · 14/06/2019 21:12

It reminds me of Jane the Virgin. "When Jane Gloriana Villanueva was 7 years old..."
It sounds nice in Spanish, not sure about English though.

BubblesBuddy · 14/06/2019 21:14

Well it’s Gloriana. Also known as Queen Elizabeth 1st. The current Royal Barge and an opera written by Benjamin Britten for the Queen’s Coronation. It’s a very Royal name. I love it!

BubblesBuddy · 14/06/2019 21:18

It was also the name of Spencer’s Faerie Queen - it’s English.

ch3rrycola · 14/06/2019 21:18

Prefer Gloria but then maybe that's because that's my cats name 😁

AverageMummy · 14/06/2019 21:24

I’ve never heard of it - is it pronounced argh-na or Anna ?

I’m really not sure if I like it or hate it. I know that’s a strange reply.

FrownPrincess · 14/06/2019 21:27

Gloriana usually, not Gloriana.

It sounds a bit OTT to me, rather fussy.

I’m not keen on Gloria either, but I used to have a canary called Glory and the name suited him perfectly Smile

FrownPrincess · 14/06/2019 21:28

*not Glorianna - duh!

BubblesBuddy · 14/06/2019 21:33

It’s pronounced Glory ah na. How can you not have heard of it?

Puffykins · 14/06/2019 22:03

I love it.

CalamityJess · 14/06/2019 22:06

Don’t like it, it’s just a bit too much for me.

Gloria is quite nice though. Very retro.

Tillygetsit · 14/06/2019 22:48

I dont normally like frilly names but this has a bit more gravitas to me. I really like it.

AverageMummy · 14/06/2019 23:12

@BubblesBuddy I regularly surprise people with how little general knowledge I have I’m afraid Grin

Astronica · 14/06/2019 23:20

I don't like it.

TurquoiseAndPurple · 14/06/2019 23:37

Haha I also automatically heard in my head "Jane Gloriana Villanueva" 🙈

julensaor · 14/06/2019 23:48

Just to me it is very religious sounding, but better than Gloria. If you love it use it. Glori would be a unique and pretty nickname. And really once a name is given, that is just the little person, the name really does not matter.

Kintan · 14/06/2019 23:59

It sounds very over the top to me, but if you love it, don’t let some random people on the internet put you off :)
