Maximilian or Martin?

Which would you choose ?

Neither, I would have Malcolm (Mal)

Maximilian. Unusual you’re considering both OP, I think they’re very different types of names. I only know middle aged / elderly Martins.

Just Max. Martin is very dated & Maximilian is too much name for me.

I like Martin - makes me think of the birds and summer.

Martin is more unusual on a baby nowadays.

I'd go for plain old Max.

Definitely Maximilian, although I’d personally abbreviated it to Max. I personally think Martin is dated and not in a good, overdue a comeback way.
