Thank you

I love it!

boomboom1234 · 11/05/2019 20:07

I like it. A girl at my daughters nursery is called it and I think it's really cool.

longestlurkerever · 11/05/2019 20:08

Yes I like it too. Kind of feisty. Feminine without being frilly.

brads88 · 11/05/2019 20:09

I like it! I know it to have been used (one first name one middle name) in the last few months so I think you may meet one or two in baby classes!

lazylinguist · 11/05/2019 20:11

Absolutely love it. Would be top of my list if I were having another daughter, but my childbearing days are definitely over!

Carpet86 · 11/05/2019 20:12

Honestly probably showing my age but I thought of Amstrad computers

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 11/05/2019 20:13

I like it a lot. It is already massively popular (there are 3 in DS's nursery), but that wouldn't put me off in this case because it is a classic name.

MrsCalypsoGrant · 11/05/2019 20:18

I love it. Some friends chose it as a last minute middle name for their second daughter born in 2010, they came out of the Registry Office & said to each other: "Why didn't we give her that as a first name, it's fabulous" 😀

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 11/05/2019 20:19

Love it!

CosmicVagina · 11/05/2019 20:21

Love it

I have an Astrid, so thumbs up here

MarieToulouseBerlioz · 11/05/2019 20:23

I love it I think it's a really cool strong name!

meepmoop · 11/05/2019 20:27

Looking very positive, I wasn't sure but DH really likes it.

Lovely name.
My fantasy twin girls are Astrid and Stella Grin

OldUnit · 11/05/2019 20:32

I really like it too. It's feisty, like a PP said.

MikeUniformMike · 11/05/2019 20:35

I like it, but so do a lot of parents. She could be one of several in her age group.

OhMsBeliever · 11/05/2019 20:38

I love it! I have twin boys but if they had been girls they would have been Freya and Astrid.

And if one had been a girl I would have used Astrid.

It's one of my favourite girls names. 😄

Imstickingwiththisone · 11/05/2019 20:43

I love it OP! Think it could only be described as massively popular in that particular nursery a pp is referring to.

Astraj · 11/05/2019 20:58

Love it

Sleepinginthebathroom · 11/05/2019 21:00

LOVE
My dp says no for our children, but only because it doesn't follow the 'theme'
Really love it though, feminine but not too twee, strong and feisty like PP have said

desparate4sleep · 11/05/2019 21:02

Love it

ZebraKid71 · 11/05/2019 21:17

I love it, it's on my list for Dd2 but dd1 has a Scandinavian name also beginning with A so will probably go with something else. (it was also on shortlist for dd1!)

I really cannot imagine her being one of three in her nursery unless you live where pp lives! I only know of one baby named Astrid, and she's Norwegian. Its not totally unusual but no way would I say it is popular... It ranked somewhere in the 300s I think...

zen1 · 11/05/2019 21:18

Very nice.

User11011 · 11/05/2019 21:20

Reminds me of Jan's daughter from the Office (US) Confused

BertieBotts · 11/05/2019 21:22

It is in the 300s but it's rising so it looks like it's likely to become more popular.

I love it. I don't care about popularity rankings.
