Middle names for Kaelyn?

So basically I want a name for a girl that isn't common, however I don't mind if the middle name is slightly more common (but not super common). I have fallen in love with the name Kaelyn (Kay-Lin - almost like Caitlin without the t) but I'm stuck for a middle name!

I've come up with:

  • Kaelyn Paige
  • Kaelyn Jade

But I haven't fallen in love with these like I have for the first name, so does anyone have any other suggestions? My surname is Robinson so obviously I need something that flows nicely with that - I'm not too fussy about the length as long as it doesn't take 10 minutes to pronounce Wink .

limpbizkit · 09/05/2019 20:23

I personally thing Cailyn would look less 'chavvy' drop the 'k' sorry for the candid opinion Blush

Kiltartan · 09/05/2019 20:26

Just go with the actual Irish version. Caoilfhionn. Kaelyn is as bad as Neve and Chevonne.

Oh come on! I wouldn't even use that spelling as an Irish person in Ireland.

Kiltartan · 09/05/2019 20:34

Maybe not, Pinkie, but I know two adult Caoilfhionns in Ireland and two under-tens in London, and they don’t seem to be wracked with the difficulty of it all. One of the Ireland-based ones also has an unusual Irish-language surname.

I also know a Galway Lasairfhíona. Grin

AuntieStella · 09/05/2019 20:35

You know, I didn't see 'Kaolin' but now someone's pointed it out.. yeah, awkward.

Possible middle names: Maura, Edith, Irene, Eimar

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 09/05/2019 20:37

Not for me sorry, it’s the K and it looks like a made up name 🤷‍♀️

PinkieTuscadero · 09/05/2019 20:39

I too know a Galway Lasairfhíona! Wonder if she's the same one or if a lot of Lasairfhíona-ing goes on in Galway. When I met her I may even have asked her if her name was...............Spanish Blush

Galwegians are always going on about their sexy Spanish ancestors. That's my excuse! Grin

PinkieTuscadero · 09/05/2019 20:41

I must stress that I asked her if her name was Spanish before I saw it written down. Looking at it there's no denying its heritage.

Kiltartan · 09/05/2019 20:41

I bet it is. And I agree about Galwegians showing off about their sultry Armada ancestry, Pinkie. They’d drive you to drink. Grin

I went with the Kaelyn spelling as I feel like it is the less popular spelling of the name (although I could be wrong in that?).

Just go with the actual Irish version. Caoilfhionn

As a dyslexic - I wouldn't mind being able to spell my own child's name. It was also be great if they were able to spell their own name! I also wouldn't mind teachers and other people being able to say the name without having to pull faces and ask Hmm.

There are some really good suggestions here! So far my favourites are:

  • Kaelyn Felicity
  • Kaelyn Marie (although I'm not sure how popular this is as a middle name?)
  • Kaelyn Nicole
  • Kaelyn Rhianne

I also like Kaelyn Rose and Kaelyn Grace but they're far too popular as middle names Confused
