I would personally go for Erin. Gorgeous name and means Peace x

Marlena1 · 09/05/2019 17:31

ErinSmile

Fettuccinecarbonara · 09/05/2019 17:33

I read your two names and instantly thought ‘Elspeth’

YellowYak · 09/05/2019 17:39

Interesting, Erin is dp’s favourite, I like it but think it’s a tiny bit boring for some reason, do you think it’s a problem that our ds is called Rowan, it it a bit matchy?

I love Elspeth, dp notconvinced

Love Josephine! Beautiful name.

I don't like Erin at all, sorry

Peachbubble · 09/05/2019 17:59

I like Morwenna

littlered05 · 09/05/2019 18:03

I love all of them! Was originally thinking Morwenna until you mentioned that it's to go with Rowan ... with that in mind, I think I would choose Josephine.

BlueMerchant · 09/05/2019 18:06

Was going to say Erin. I'm not sure it sounds right with Rowan though.
Martha is nice.
How about Marnie?

I teach and in the 14-15 age group I have 3 Erins in a class of 13 girls.

Bronwen?

BogglesGoggles · 09/05/2019 18:12

Morwenna is amazing

BogglesGoggles · 09/05/2019 18:13

Bronwen great too

YellowYak · 09/05/2019 18:44

Thanks all.

Great suggestions Rice, particularly like Marianne and Frances (but can’t use)

That was part of my concern about Erin Cis, does seem very popular at the moment.

Sorry I didn’t mention Rowan sooner, do you think Rowan and Morwenna are ok together. Dp thinks we can’t use Morwenna as it’s an anagram of Rowan plus a couple of letters, I don’t think this is an issue

I like Marnie but don’t love it.

Bronwen is great

I'm not keen on Erin. It's ok but there are so many short names starting with E or A at the moment.

Grumpbum123 · 09/05/2019 20:40

Slightly biased but I love Morwenna

riotlady · 09/05/2019 20:44

Love Josephine

Willowkoko · 09/05/2019 21:08

Morwenna feels outdated imo...
I like Josephine, nn josie maybe

PinkieTuscadero · 09/05/2019 21:28

Morwenna is kind of witchy, in a good way. More interesting than the other names.

Sophronia · 09/05/2019 21:34

Morwenna! Erin is boring. What about Merryn?

CloserIAm2Fine · 09/05/2019 21:38

I love PP suggestion of Elspeth, otherwise of the ones you said Josephine because I love Joey as a nickname

Rowan is gorgeous btw, but I do feel like Morwenna is a bit too similar sounding tbh

Erin and Martha are much more popular than your first two choices, and I feel like Ellen has a plainer feel if you know what I mean? Oddly I don’t feel that about the welsh name Elin though!

How about Henrietta, Willow, Celeste, Evangeline, Cecelia,

CloserIAm2Fine · 09/05/2019 21:39

Ooh and I love PP suggestion of Merryn as well!

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 09/05/2019 21:41

Erin!!

PinkieTuscadero · 09/05/2019 21:43

Elowen or Lowenna

dontforgetto · 09/05/2019 21:49

I think Josephine is a beautiful classic name. If I had another DD I was determined to name her this. Other names I liked were Tess/Tessa and Frances.

I'm not keen on Mowenna as a sister for Rowan, same for Erin.
