So, here it is, the fourth(!!!) Guessing Game baby names thread. Shock

All credit to @scotstar for creating the game, back in March 2018. Can't believe how far we've come!

Previous threads here:

1: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3189874-guessing-game

2: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3207745-Guessing-game-II

3: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3262724-Guessing-game-III?pg=1â„´=

The game is simple. Guess the name the poster is describing, then it's your turn! Make the clues as fiendish as you like. Grin

All are welcome to join in! @FintyTin, @Ladywillpower, @LadyGAgain and @DuggeeHugs, come join! (Plus others I've forgotten)

And since @Ladywillpower correctly guessed @FintyTin's last clue, this is @Ladywillpower**'s latest clue:

This old German name opened Pandora's box in 1929. Her royal connections meant that she waltzed off to one of the Channel Islands with the Doctor.

@Clettercletterthatsbetter has guessed Clara!

Daphne?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 29/12/2019 23:34

Nope.
You were very close with the SATC guessing. The clue relates to x4 references to the same name but from various actresses/characters.

Ladywillpower · 30/12/2019 04:18

Jessica?

Ladywillpower · 30/12/2019 08:43

Or Charlotte?
I am really stumped.

LadyGAgain · 30/12/2019 09:58

Hope the brackets help! Sorry it's obvs not a good clue ConfusedGrin

One of a foursome from New York (SATC actress) brought a new meaning to duck-face (4 weddings actress) and arguably plays the better sister (frozen) despite her beau’s love of the dark (twilight)

LadyGAgain · 30/12/2019 09:58

Sorry all are actresses.

Blackberrybunnet · 30/12/2019 10:41

Hermione?

Ladywillpower · 30/12/2019 10:58

Kristin/kristen

LadyGAgain · 31/12/2019 08:15

@Ladywillpower has it.
Kristen Davis, Scott-Thomas, Bell and Stewart

Ladywillpower · 04/01/2020 11:06

Happy New Year everyone.
Here goes
This godly lady may be considering taking up floristry or moving house.

LadyGAgain · 10/01/2020 06:38

Kirsty?

finallychangedmyusername · 13/01/2020 19:45

Abigail?

OP posts:
Ladywillpower · 14/01/2020 01:46

Not Kirsty or Abigail.
The name is a shortened version of a popular regal name.

finallychangedmyusername · 14/01/2020 07:28

Betty/Bette?

OP posts:
Ladywillpower · 14/01/2020 08:31

Not Betty/Bette but you have the right royal name.
The lady has the same first name & surname!

finallychangedmyusername · 14/01/2020 13:31

Ah, Eliza? Eliza Doolittle was the florist.

OP posts:
Ladywillpower · 14/01/2020 13:52

Well done finallychanged!
A bit of artistic licence with florist as Eliza Doolittle was actually the flower seller in Pygmalion & My Fair Lady!
The singer Eliza Doolittle sang "Pack Up".
Over to you

finallychangedmyusername · 14/01/2020 23:05

Yay, fab, great name!

This may be too easy:

Name linking the following: A ballerina's beloved, a Shakesperean-named actress's spouse, a seven seas traverser and a mother to a new partly-extraterrestrial race.

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 14/01/2020 23:26

Rae?

finallychangedmyusername · 15/01/2020 06:19

Not Rae sorry

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 17/01/2020 08:35

Ellen

finallychangedmyusername · 17/01/2020 08:58

Yep indeedy! Ellens Page, DeGeneres, MacArthur and Ripley (Alien). Grin over to you!

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 21/01/2020 20:05

Fantastic!

Sorry for the delay...

She calls to her friends across the city of London. She’s beautiful & always announces her arrival

finallychangedmyusername · 25/01/2020 10:37

Primrose?

(I keep thinking the first part of the clues is a Hunger Games reference to the Capitol...) I could be well off the mark with that though!
