Just wanted to gage opinions on the name robin for a boy... do you think it’s a nice name or too feminine?
DP and I do not have similar styles and this is the only name we have reached any kind of level of agreement on

I know several Robins, all male. Most of them nice and one drop dead gorgeous.

Toodleoopuddle · 01/05/2019 17:15

I really like it but it wouldn't suit my children... feel like it's quite a delicate name.

DramaAlpaca · 01/05/2019 19:46

It's very gentle sounding. I'm not keen on it to be honest.

MerlinsBeard87 · 01/05/2019 19:57

I have a Robin, it's the best name

RenaissenceBelle · 01/05/2019 21:56

Robyn for a girl, yes... but not really very nice for a boy, sorry! too twee sounding. perhaps its cos I don't know any nice ones though!

queenbailey83 · 02/05/2019 07:34

My 5 year old son is Robin, he's no delicate flower that's for sure lol and it still works for him xx

I like it!

Iwantmychairback · 02/05/2019 08:01

Love Robyn for a girl.
Hate Robin for a boy.
No idea why......think it’s because it’s because of the small delicate bird.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 02/05/2019 08:02

I like it but both the adults I know with this name are always known as Rob

SallyWD · 02/05/2019 08:20

I love it!! Not keen on Robyn for a girl but love it for a boy. It's due a revival.

Sophronia · 02/05/2019 10:13

I prefer it for a boy but if used on a girl, the spelling should be Robyn.

daisypond · 02/05/2019 11:26

Not keen. I find it a bit delicate. It’s short for Robert, which I much prefer.

sallievp · 02/05/2019 11:33

We both liked for for our ds although dudnt use it...didnt get great reaction from some though...they felt it was a bit 'wet' . i still like it.

Icklepup · 02/05/2019 12:19
