Hello you beautiful people

Love the name Cameron and I'm wondering what are your honest opinions on the spelling Camaeron?

Fairly sure I saw the spelling Camaeron floating around on the web, tho I can't find it now.

Thanks in advance Flowers

BelulahBlanca · 29/04/2019 18:22

I can already tell you everyone will tell you to spell it the more common way.

notatwork · 29/04/2019 18:23

Belulah is right. I only came on to tell you to spell it the usual way Grin

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 29/04/2019 18:23

Nope. Unless you want your child to have to spell their name ever my single time it’s asked for.

Cameron is a nice name, just spell it the usual way.

Sexnotgender · 29/04/2019 18:23

Cameron is a lovely name. I’d keep it spelt normally and not saddle your child with a lifetime of spelling their name to all and sundry.

EntirelyAnonymised · 29/04/2019 18:24

I thought your thread title was a typo.

I’d go for the more usual spelling.

Janleverton · 29/04/2019 18:28

Why would you spell it like that, though, when Cameron spells Cameron perfectly well? Thought that in Greek, the ‘ae’ has a sound similar to ‘i’ (like ink). In Latin, the ‘ae’ is similar like Caesar - ee ish. So would it be Cam-ee-Ron or cam-I-Ron? (NB I’m rubbish at writing things phonetically)!

RaffertyFair · 29/04/2019 18:34

Why?

PlatypusLeague · 29/04/2019 18:35

I would assume it was pronounced Cam-AIR-on with that spelling.

PinaColadaPlease · 29/04/2019 18:36

I thought you'd made a spelling mistake in your thread title. Any reason you want to spell it differently?

SylvanianFrenemies · 29/04/2019 18:37

Cameron is nice.

Camaeron is silly.

Whoops75 · 29/04/2019 18:37

Don’t do it, Cameron is fine

Whizzler · 29/04/2019 18:55

I prefer it spelt Pcameron. Silent p of course.

desparate4sleep · 29/04/2019 18:57

it looks utterly stupid. Why would you even consider it?

notmuchmoretogive · 29/04/2019 20:38

Why? I love my name but it is unusual and I have to spell it. Every. Time. Trust me, this is not something you want to do to your child.

Biscuitsneeded · 29/04/2019 20:39

How about Kamma'run?

Littlepond · 29/04/2019 20:44

I actually knew a Kam’run once!

Macaroonmayhem · 29/04/2019 20:45

No, that’s a typo.

EmmaC78 · 29/04/2019 20:48

Looks odd. Just use the normal spelling.

aibutohavethisusername · 29/04/2019 20:50

Normal spelling is much better.

tequillamockinbird · 29/04/2019 20:52

Normal spelling is better, I thought this was a typo

sleepyhead · 29/04/2019 20:55

No. It makes no sense as a spelling to me at all.

WokenUp · 29/04/2019 21:00

Whyyyyyyyyy would you dooooooo that?!?!?!

Bookworm4 · 29/04/2019 21:03

How many more stupid spellings are there going to be ? It's not quirky or cute it just makes you look like you can't spell. Mae is a girls name in the middle 🙄

KateyKube · 29/04/2019 21:05

I prefer it spelt Pcameron. Silent p of course.
