Can Lux be both m/F? Have only heard it as being a girl's name!

Lux sounds like a bar of soap (and believe there may actually have been soap called this)!

I loke Ellis as a boy’s name but not keen for a girl. From your post I would choose Hallie and Aiden (or Ellis). Hallie is quite popular though if that bothers you.

The only one of the names you have listed for girls that is normally a girl's name is Allie, or maybe Hallie. Please pick girl names for a girl.

Of your boy choices, I like Alistair.

Really not keen on any of the girls name.

Haillie - weird spelling of Hayley.
Allie - a nickname not a name.
Brogan - ok
Reece - no, just no.
Lux - a soap.
Ellis - a boy's name. I know it's sometimes used for a girl but traditionally it is a boy's name.

I like all your boy's names except Lux.

Your only actual girls' names are Luc and Hallie/Allie, and none of those are very nice.

Finn and Ellis are nice for boys.

I like Hallie, Allie and Reece are OK.
Hate Brogan, Lux and Ellis sorry.

For the boys names, I like Arlo best. Alistair and Aiden are nice.
Finn is OK. Hate Lux sorry.

I dislike all the girls' names, sorry.

I like Finn & Alistair, & Aiden is OK but prefer it spelled Aidan.

I can't get my head around Lux. I don't like it all.

Lux definitely was a bar of soap. Like Rexona. I think they are still available on the Continent.

Sorry if this is discouraging, but as well as being a brand-name for soap, Lux is also an international unit of scientific measurement en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lux It would be a bit like calling a baby 'metre' or 'gram'.

I know a female Ellis in her twenties. Had only heard of it as a boys name before I met her. Only boys name I like on your list is Arlo. Lux would be OK if it wasn't a soap bar & Rees is now going to be tainted by that Rees-Mogg knobhead.

  • Hallie / Allie - prefer Allie and best of the bunch
  • Brogan - awful
  • Reece - I mean other than Reese Witherspoon (which isn't actually her BC name), I have never heard a female Reece
  • Lux - awful
  • Ellis - it is ok, a boys name but still better than the above three.

Boy names

  • Finn - lovely
  • Alistair - not keen
  • Lux (again) - awful
  • Arlo - faddy
  • Aiden - love

I don't like any of your girls names, Hallie or Reece are best of a bad lot imho

I much prefer your boys names (except Lux), Alastair or Arlo would me my choices
