Hallie/Allie - More nicknames than names, and I irrationally dislike Hallie
Brogan, Reece and Ellis are all boys' names.
Lux is a brand of soap Grin
Dislike all of your boys names.

Ps Eilis is an Irish girl's name pronounced Aay-lish (slighly different spelling)

I really like Ellis and it's my favourite from your girl list. I like 'gan/gen' ending names for girls very much, but not so much Brogan - would you consider Regan, Keegan, (suggested at the risk of being hung drawn and quartered by MN who hate people using these names for girls) Tegan? Also other Br names such as Bronte, Brenna, Brynn or Briar? Hallie/Allie are very bland to me and the worst on the list. Lux is rather cool for a girl but don't like it for a boy.

I love Finn and like Alistair. Arlo and Aiden seem bland, dull and in Arlo's case too trendy. Aiden is over-used. Finn is popular but feels cool to me, and Alistair has the strength of tradition behind it.

I LOVE the name Lux. It was on my list for a girl and my DH loved it too... we very nearly went with it.

I would presume people called Reece and Ellis were boys when seeing their names on a list, so wold rule them out for that reason. I think of Lux as being soap. Just don't really like any of your girls names.

Alistair
Aiden, whilst not to my taste, are at least decent enough names. Don't like Arlo and, again Lux is a bar of soap to me.

Girl names

  • Hallie / Allie - Hallie is okay, quite cute
  • Brogan - awful. Sounds like bogan which Australian slang for chav
  • Reece - this is a boy's name and horrible for a girl
  • Lux - I think this is really cool
  • Ellis - I know two girls with this name and it doesn't suit them at all - much better for boys

Boy names

  • Finn - this is nice sounding but VERY common at the moment
  • Alistair - alright
  • Lux (again) - there is no way this is a boy's name
  • Arlo - alright
  • Aiden - alright

Halley, but spelled this way. Allie is just about OK but sounds like a nickname. The others are all boys' names or just plain awful (Lux, seriously??)

The boys' names are all passable except Lux.

Lux is a soap brand and not a good name for a boy or a girl.
I quite like the rest of your boys names.

Hallie is the only girls name on the list I don't really dislike. I like a pp thought Brogan sounded far to like Bogan. Reece I have only know as a boy name and I dont much like it. Ellis is a boys name.

Lux - no for boy or girl. Brand of soap.

Reese and Ellis are boys names

All the boys names are fine, apart from Lux.

I like Ellis best of your girls' names (I know an Ellis and it really suits her). Hallie and Allie are nice but look like they're shortenings for something else - Halle (as in Berry) looks more like a stand-alone name for some reason. Don't mind Brogan or Reece either. Lux sounds a bit like a soap as pp have said.

I LOVE Alistair but like Finn and Aiden too and don't mind Arlo. Just not keen on Lynx (sorry).

  • Ellis - I'd immediately think Island

Boy names

  • Finn - nice
  • Alistair - nice
  • Lux (again) - soap
  • Arlo - sounds like a cleaning product, sorry!

I like all of your boys names except Lux, Arlo is my favourite.

Hallie is my favourite girl's name but I'm not keen on your list.... sorry.

  • Arlo - this is my all time favourite name and I have it earmarked for if I ever have a boy!
