Baby Sussex: your guess

OK apparently the bambino/a could be making an appearance in the very near future. What are your thoughts? Rather than long lists of names please choose your “most likely” names for a boy and a girl.

Boy: Leo

Girl: Francesca

Shanti for a boy
Saffron for a girl

if they want to go left field

Stinkytoe · 06/04/2019 11:24

Maybe they’ll make a reference to suits

Harvey for a boy, Jessica for a girl?

youarenotkiddingme · 06/04/2019 12:07

Frederick (Freddie) for a boy

Eleanor (Ellie) for a girl.

I also think they'll go traditional but more laid back.

I did think they may go for Charles (Charlie) but Wills already did that with Charlotte. In fact she's the one that has the current family names in all 3 of hers.

Perhaps Philip will appear in the boy somewhere?

AnnieMay100 · 06/04/2019 17:27

Girl Alexandra, Victoria, Rosaline, Josephine, Bethany, Emily, Harriette, Olivia
Boy Albert, Alexander, Charles, Frederick, Jack, Michael, Richard, Stanley
Or they could surprise us and go with something like Tyrone, gucci, Queenie, porcha, jezebel, Simba, West London...

YahBasic · 06/04/2019 17:32

I’ve had a recurring dream that she’s having a girl called Eleanor, but known as Elle.

It’s happened about 5/6 times now!

Lokidokiartichoki · 06/04/2019 18:25

I’m just hoping she hurry’s up and has the baby before I have mine so I can name mine safely in the knowledge it’s not the same name (presuming we have the same sex)

missmouse101 · 06/04/2019 18:29

Penelope or Arthur

polarpig · 06/04/2019 18:52

@Loki you could always not tell people the name for a week to give them a chance to have their baby and announce the name? this won't make you popular

Failing that you can change the name during the first year. My son has a name which I love but which would have been very different if he'd been born a week later. We had to put up with muppets suggesting he was named after an event that happened a week after he was born even though we had already announced his name on the day he was born.

Twisique · 06/04/2019 20:41

IF they are avoiding the names of living royals then Alexandra and Frederick are off the list.

Cbeebiesrehab · 06/04/2019 20:55

Polar I’m VERY intrigued by your son’s name now🤔😂

polarpig · 06/04/2019 21:05

I won't say exactly but think of how storms are named and you won't be far off.

KingHenrysCodpiece · 06/04/2019 22:40

I read (in the trashy tabloids admittedly) that they were planning on raising their children gender neutral so why would they go with a gendered name? I'm revaluating to something like:

Billy
Charley
Drew
August
Jay
Francis

Tavannach · 06/04/2019 22:44

Girl and boy twins

Frances/Francesca Elizabeth and Charles Philip

Neome · 06/04/2019 22:56

Artemis Precious Elizabeth
Louis Charles Nelson

Lokidokiartichoki · 06/04/2019 23:50

@polarpig I’m so pleased you clarified, I was imagining a baby Brexit 🤣😫

kaytee87 · 07/04/2019 00:13

Kaiden or Cortnee

pantsville · 07/04/2019 01:18

Albert Charles Martin
Rosa Diana Victoria

Redskyandrainbows67 · 07/04/2019 01:24

It’s definitely going to be something new age /hippy like
Molof
Star
Morgan
Annaise
Luna
Etc

Redskyandrainbows67 · 07/04/2019 01:26

Amara

Redskyandrainbows67 · 07/04/2019 01:35

And then they’ll go classic royal because they are like ‘so cool’ to be royal yet also ‘so cool’ Amara is multi cultural - it’ll def be something multi cultural

Oh and they’ll do 3 middle names to try and be ‘better’ than Catherine and William

So I guess-
Amara Catherine Diana Anne

Kokeshi123 · 07/04/2019 07:21

A DD will be something etherial and feminine.

Either floral (Iris, Rose, Azalea) or Irish/Welsh (Aislin, Aithne, Carys, Bronwen etc.)

Petalflowers · 07/04/2019 08:18

Eleanor’s a good shout as there has been royal Eleanor’s in the past.

Twisique · 07/04/2019 09:12

Angelina Diana

Twisique · 07/04/2019 09:13

Vivienne Elizabeth Diana

BellMcEnd · 07/04/2019 09:16

Dora / Dorothea

David
