Sounds like a type of sushi.

Hollowvictory · 18/03/2019 20:25

Corn on the...

Easterbunnyiscomingsoon · 18/03/2019 20:26

Too like Jobi which in Scotland is a poo!

imsorryiasked · 18/03/2019 20:26

I like it. I know one (spelled Kobe) and it suits him.

donquixotedelamancha · 18/03/2019 20:30

Makes me think of Kobe beef. Mmmmmm.......

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 18/03/2019 20:33

Falls into same category as Jayden/Mason/Kai etc for me

The only one I've come across IRL (spelt Kobi) was a dysfunctional little sh*t to put it bluntly

sweetkitty · 18/03/2019 20:37

Kobi is our non for Jacob

PuzzlingPuzzle · 18/03/2019 20:37

Isn’t it Kobe (like Kobe Bryant)? Not really my cup of tea but I’ve heard worse.

BloominSloe · 18/03/2019 20:39

No.

TillyTheTiger · 18/03/2019 20:43

It always makes me think of the Kobe Earthquake in Japan, which killed around 6000 people. But I doubt that would be an association for many people!

Usuallyinthemiddle · 18/03/2019 20:45

It's a shortening of Jacob. Polish / Hebrew. I've an Israeli friend with a Kobi. I kind of like it but not out of context. Not sure why...

whitehalleve · 18/03/2019 20:46

I know one little boy called that. Not my cup of tea but he rocks it well.

Ellieboolou27 · 18/03/2019 20:47

Coby is better

Skylucy · 18/03/2019 20:48

I'm with you @Tillythetiger.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 18/03/2019 20:50

No, just no. It's not even a name. Kobi, Kai, Kayden, Jayden ... put 'Doctor' before the name. Does it sound right? No? Then don't do it.

3out · 18/03/2019 20:50

It makes me think of obi wan kenobi.

notacooldad · 18/03/2019 20:52

Over come across it twice in the last few years through the young people and families that we support.
Both kids were really great so I've got positive connotations towards it.

changingnam · 18/03/2019 20:54

@shaggedthruahedgebackwards I couldn't agree more!

BorsetshireBlew · 18/03/2019 21:59

No, just no. It's not even a name. Kobi, Kai, Kayden, Jayden ... put 'Doctor' before the name. Does it sound right? No?

Do you realise how classist you sound?

NorthernRunner · 18/03/2019 22:02

I just think of Kobe Beef
I’m not a fan, it’s too American for my taste

EvilEdna1 · 18/03/2019 22:02

I thought Kobi is an African name. I know a little boy called Kobi whose parents are African. I like it.

beebreath · 18/03/2019 22:09

No. The only Kobis I know are dogs 🐕😬

WhereIsMyTVRemote · 18/03/2019 22:10

Know one and he is partial to biting everyone so my opinion is tainted.

KatyaZamolodchikova · 18/03/2019 22:12

Isn’t Kobi one of those illegal streaming devices to get free films? That’s what it makes me think of.

BiltongBetty · 18/03/2019 22:12

“put 'Doctor' before the name. Does it sound right? No?”

DH’s doctor’s first name is Candy. It’s shocking they let her into medical school. What’s the world coming to?
