I like the name Ash for a boy but would like help coming up with a middle name for him. We would like a Nature/hippy styled name, thank you.

Tree

User9797 · 08/03/2019 02:23

What about Linden? Ash is a tree and Linden is a tree but at the same time they are both boys names so that could work well.

JaneJeffer · 08/03/2019 02:38

Trey

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 08/03/2019 02:40

If you want to attack me op do this in public rather than pm

Callierose150 · 08/03/2019 02:52

This actually upsets me I'm a pacifist and would never want to "attack" you all I said is that if you didn't like my post to not comment and that people should be spreading happiness not negativity. I didn't post it here because this is about a baby name and I didn't think everyone needed to see. I'm sorry if you felt attacked but I didn't mean such thing. I just wanted to find a name for Ash.

I was just looking for names in the style of Bodhi, Wilder or Bear but ones that would go with ash to honour my grandad who loved the nature and outdoors

I commented one word “tree” yet you attack me, and go as far as to pm me, how is this odder than ash or offensive.

memaymamo · 08/03/2019 03:06

....Let it go.

What about Ash Rowan or Ash Orion?

Sunshineforever · 08/03/2019 03:23

The user was right to want to keep it between you two. Anyway how about:

Ash Colt
Ash Brook
Ash Skyler
Ash Damien
Ash Rylan

If you can't find one you could alway not have a middle name. Thoughts about that??

Good luck sweetness

Knitclubchatter · 08/03/2019 03:53

it's really not a nice name no matter what you pair it with.
it really sounds like "ass"
ashley is better
ashley rowen?

Tillygetsit · 08/03/2019 07:10

I really like Ash. Ashley is horrible imo! How about Ash River?

Panticles · 08/03/2019 07:13

Something else starting with A
Asa
Ace
Alexander
Alasdair

BuffaloCauliflower · 08/03/2019 07:14

Ketchum

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/03/2019 07:17

I quite like it. Not nature-y but I think ash Oliver flows nicely

WilsonandNoodles · 08/03/2019 07:22

I like Ash but love the pp's suggestions of Ash Linden and Ash Rowan.

Saffrona · 08/03/2019 07:34

I’m sorry but when I think of ash I think of two things:
Pokemon
Ashes- like when someone is cremated.

Don’t let this stop you, but just wanted to say incase you hadn’t thought of it before.

For middle names:
River
Atlas
Bear
Wolfe
Wolfgang

NormaTheHippo · 08/03/2019 07:43

I think two nature names is a bit much tbh. Something slightly modern is good though, also something with two or more syllables:

Ash Bohdi is good I think
Ash Levi
Ash Milo
Ash Felix
Or I like pps suggest of Ash Skyler

I also like Asher as a more traditional but still unusual version of Ash.

AnotherRubberDuck · 08/03/2019 07:47

Lee

ozzy18 · 08/03/2019 09:27

I really like Ash and naming in tribute to your grandfather is beautiful. I like River and Linden, how about Hawk?

GoFiguire · 08/03/2019 09:32

Lee
Wednesday
Moleum

ozzy18 · 08/03/2019 09:33

Or Beau?

Bumblebeesmum · 08/03/2019 10:21

I like Ash as a nickname but it doesn’t sound like a name to me whereas I love the name Asher

Perhaps a longer middle name. Although lots of nature names make the first name sound even more like you’re saying Ash Tree - for example Ash Forest Ash River etc sound like places with lots of Ash trees.

To break the link what about sky names like Orion?

Also I think it’s quite excessive to PM someone for commenting on a baby name thread - not everyone is going to like your name & if you actively post on an opinion forum you need to recognise not all opinions will be ones you like. Not to mention someone was considering Tree for a first name the other day which isn’t very different to Ash.

daisypond · 08/03/2019 10:30

I think Ash is a great name. I think a more standard middle name is best and provides a nice balance. Can't you use your grandad's name?

Aquamarine1029 · 08/03/2019 11:04

Ash Orion

IVflytrap · 08/03/2019 12:31

I like Ash. Also Asher and Ashley, but Ash on its own is nice and more clearly a nature name. I think a strong middle name with at least two syllables would work best.

Ash Vincent
Ash Zachary
Ash Lucas
Ash Kester
Ash Roland
Ash Ruairi
Ash Joseph
