Should I name my name baby ( which is on her way) Jaqueline or Suzanne?

I don't like either, abit to outdated for me.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 12/02/2019 19:32

Jayne?

DramaAlpaca · 12/02/2019 19:34

Well, it's completely up to you.

Of the two you've suggested I'd go for Suzanne because you've spelled that one correctly Wink

daisypond · 12/02/2019 19:36

Suzanne is nice. Not keen on Jacqueline.

IHeartKingThistle · 12/02/2019 19:41

I like them both. Don't forget Jacqueline has a C in it!

Moominfan · 12/02/2019 19:44

Will be shortened to jacky so Suzanna

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 12/02/2019 19:45

Suzanne.

thatsmyspace · 12/02/2019 19:49

Suzanne

happystory · 12/02/2019 19:55

I'd go for Suzanne. Susie would be the usual diminutive but Jacqueline will get Jac or Jackie

Bayleyf · 12/02/2019 20:01

Suzanne.

Or double points for Susannah.

LoopyLoonyLuna · 12/02/2019 20:09

Both very dated but Suzanne definitely better than Jaqueline. Prefer Susannah to Suzanne.

FloatingthroughSpace · 12/02/2019 20:11

My DD has Susannah in her name. I think it's beautiful and so little used. Suzanne, on the other hand, is more utility late 60s early 70s in feel.

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/02/2019 20:13

I love Jacqueline but I really dislike all of the shortenings so it would be Suzanne.

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 12/02/2019 20:14

Both dated, all those I know are in their 40/50’s except one sue who is 38, and she hates her name as everyone said she had a ‘mum’s name’ in school.

SilverDoe · 12/02/2019 20:16

Oooff I have to be honest I’m not keen on either and get the same impression some other posters have.

Could you maybe go for Susannah? That’s nicer by far than Suzanne but very similar :)

Ellieboolou27 · 12/02/2019 20:18

Suzanne but not keen on either, Suzanne is mums name and she hates it as will always get called Sue, despite telling people not to!

Hawkinsfirefly99 · 12/02/2019 20:18

I knew a Jacky once and she used to get called 'Tacky Jacky' so I'd opt for Suzanne.

BlueMerchant · 12/02/2019 20:21

Like neither but if I had to choose then Jacqueline as I really dislike Sue.

gambaspilpil · 12/02/2019 20:26

Hmm I knew a lot when I was at school in the 70s but I haven’t met any DC in the past twenty years with those names. So they are definitely not popular. I am not a fan of either name however names are such a personal thing that my view is do what you want!

MrsJane · 12/02/2019 20:27

Sue or Jackie?? (They will be shortened.)

To be honest, a few of my friends' mums are called this. I can't imagine a little baby girl having these names?! 😬

weebarra · 12/02/2019 20:28

I don't really like either. DD has a friend called Susanna, she's a lovely girl so I associate the name with her.

RusticFern · 12/02/2019 20:32

Of the two names I would go with Suzanne :-)

WillowG · 12/02/2019 20:33

I like Susie but not Suzanne.

Peachbubble · 12/02/2019 20:34

Don't like either, sorry. Susannah is much nicer.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 12/02/2019 21:21

Susie sheep?
