Girls Name Final Two!

heartoftheocean · 11/02/2019 12:28

Which would you pick out of my final two girls names and why?

They are: Matilda and Georgia.

Matilda being the name I've had since before my first baby, but had a boy. Georgia I've recently fallen in love with. Can't decide.

Thanks!

Georgia

daisypond · 11/02/2019 12:31

Matilda.

EricaElf · 11/02/2019 12:31

Matilda. I don't like Tilly at all though.

thatsmyspace · 11/02/2019 12:32

Both lovely names, but I prefer Georgia

Stinkytoe · 11/02/2019 12:32

Georgia is much nicer

erja · 11/02/2019 12:38

Georgia

steppemum · 11/02/2019 12:41

much, much prefer Matilda, Georgia feels harsh to me

Peachbubble · 11/02/2019 12:55

Georgia, as I love Georgie as a nn. I know of quite a few girls called Matilda/Tilly, so I suppose that's why I wouldn't choose it.

Pemba · 11/02/2019 13:08

Georgia, although Georgina is even nicer.

Matilda is fine, a bit meh though, and so popular lately.

MikeUniformMike · 11/02/2019 13:10

Georgia (or Georgina).
Matilda was nice until it became very popular and I'm not keen on Tilly. Tilda is a brand of rice.

Creatureofthenight · 11/02/2019 13:11

Matilda

SallyWD · 11/02/2019 13:52

Georgia is beautiful. Matilda is lovely too but there are so many where I live.

stellarfox · 11/02/2019 13:54

Matilda. Georgia is nice too but I would say Matilda is a bit more classic/timeless.

youngestisapsycho · 11/02/2019 14:12

My 12 yr DD was always going to be Georgia, Georgie as nn... but then I called her Elsie!

Shadow1234 · 11/02/2019 15:32

I really like both, but I think Georgia would be my first choice.

confusedandcrazymother · 11/02/2019 18:57

Hmmm Georgia reminds me of that girl from only way is Essex. I guess Matilda then...

Gazelda · 11/02/2019 19:17

Georgia is sophisticated.
Matilda is very friendly. And Tilly is good fun with bags of confidence.
I love them both. Sorry, not helpful.

BiggFactHunt · 11/02/2019 19:19

Matilda, Matty for short.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/02/2019 19:20

Georgia

StellaMorris · 11/02/2019 19:20

Matilda nn Matty
(I met twin girls on a plane once Matty and Maddie, I loved this - Matilda and Madeline)

I don’t like any feminine versions of George, but I don’t like George much either.

daisypond · 11/02/2019 19:22

Matilda is a little faddy, perhaps, but Georgia is very dated (20 years) and now downmarket.

GlitterPixie · 11/02/2019 19:26

Georgia but my cat is Matilda

17caterpillars1mouse · 11/02/2019 19:28

Georgia

I do like Matilda but I'm not keen on Fully and every other girl seems to be named Matilda in my area. I only know one Georgia and she is 15

AugustRose · 11/02/2019 19:30

Matilda by a mile

BlueMerchant · 11/02/2019 19:38

Georgia is my favorite of the two.Matilda is a nice name but prefer 'Tilly' to the full Matilda.Matilda is also getting very popular.
