DD1 is Sophia

If I name her Alexandra the theme is Greek if I call her Vivienne it goes more French. I like both! which one should I Choose ?

Vivienne, love the name. Was on my girl shortlist.

Megan2018 · 08/02/2019 16:07

Alexandra

Vivienne I like too but I prefer Alexandra

Vivienne. It's so classy and underused. I like Alexandra too but think Vivienne is nicer. Vivi is a cute 0jj

LucyInTheSkyy · 08/02/2019 16:15

Vivienne nn Vi. Love.

AfterSchoolWorry · 08/02/2019 16:43

Vivienne, no brainer.

Alexandra is clunky and stuffy.

Hello,

We have an Alexandra! Although a long name, Alexandra is easy to spell and well-known around the world so no problems with pronunciation anywhere.

We love the name, classic and lots of nice shorter versions such as Alexis, Alex, Alexa etc although ours is still Alexandra and she's in school now.

I've realised it's quite helpful having a name starting with "A" as she never has to wait as she is always called first - wish we'd thought about this with our other daughter!

Best of luck, they are both lovely names!

Havekidsneedcoffee · 08/02/2019 16:52

PS her middle name is "Sophia"!

VirginMama · 08/02/2019 16:56

Love them both but Vivienne is more original. Reminds me of Pretty Woman! 😂

Vivienne is lovely. Like a pp, I find Alexandra a bit....clunky

Peachbubble · 08/02/2019 17:18

Vivienne, as it's less popular

eiche · 08/02/2019 17:39

Alexandra! So elegant, and I love a Greek theme.

abcriskringle · 08/02/2019 18:28

Oh I love both! Vivienne just edges it for me purely because I dislike 'Alex' as a nn. But excellent choices.

daisypond · 08/02/2019 18:40

Alexandra. It matches Sophia much better. Vivienne is a bit prissy, but it's certainly OK - it does have a certain charm. Vivien is simpler and nicer. The character in Pretty Woman is Vivian.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 08/02/2019 18:42

Alexandra

Sophronia · 08/02/2019 19:49

I think Alexandra goes better with Sophia

FamilyOfAliens · 08/02/2019 19:51

The theme for what, OP?

In case I would have a third daughter or son I would like them to have similar names. For example if it Sophia and Alexandra it would make sense to call the third one also something Greek. While Sophie and Vivienne I could go with Josephine let's say! I know I think about it too much ! hehe

daisypond · 08/02/2019 20:23

Well, in that case it matters if your first daughter is called Sophia or Sophie.

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 08/02/2019 20:26

Absolutely love Vivienne! Very classy Smile

Didyeeaye · 08/02/2019 23:07

Alexandra! It's my favourite girls name 😁

Ribbonsonabox · 08/02/2019 23:10

Alexandra is beautiful!

81Byerley · 08/02/2019 23:13

Another vote for Vivienne!

BigFatBloomers · 08/02/2019 23:58

Viviane is my preferred spelling. It seems a stronger name

MelinaM · 09/02/2019 00:07

Alexandra
