Which one? Can’t decide! Is Clara more classic than Lara?

There is an adventure park type place in Ireland called Clara-Lara so maybe both :-)

I prefer Lara.

Of the two, Clara.

fairybeagle · 01/02/2019 22:55

Clara 😊

TheBluesAreStillBlue · 01/02/2019 23:01

Clara sounds more classic English, Lara more American /Australian - depends what style you like.

Clara all the way for me.

Butterfly84 · 01/02/2019 23:01

Love both.

LucyFox · 01/02/2019 23:13

Clara is more classic, but both are very trendy at the moment ...

Linnet · 01/02/2019 23:17

Clara

WrapAndRoll · 02/02/2019 01:25

Of the two, Clara. Lara sounds too stark.

Claire is due a comeback IMO and would make a change from Clara.

DramaAlpaca · 02/02/2019 01:38

I don't consider either of them classic names.

Of the two I much prefer Lara.

The 'cl' sound in Clara is a bit hard & clunky sounding to me & that puts me off it.

Inthetropics · 02/02/2019 02:02

I like both names, both are Very common here in Brazil. Have you ever heard Lara's Theme? It's from Doctor Zhivago.

Astronica · 02/02/2019 03:24

I like them both but prefer Clara.

Lara - i imagine a Lara to be a bit fiesty with a sense of adventure and love of the outdoors

I imagine a Clara to be a bit prissy and high maintaince

Longdistance · 02/02/2019 05:37

Clara - see my username Grin

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/02/2019 06:48

Lara is lovely

RuthW · 02/02/2019 07:59

Love Clara, not keen on Lara.

daisypond · 02/02/2019 09:04

I think they're both nice, but Clara fits in with the Victorian theme that is possibly going out of fashion even now and will be dated soon enough. I do find Lara a bit bland, though. I definitely do not think it's Australian/American. It's Russian, short for Larissa.
