Clara or Lara?

Which one? Can’t decide! Is Clara more classic than Lara?

There is an adventure park type place in Ireland called Clara-Lara so maybe both :-)

I prefer Lara.

Clara sounds more classic English, Lara more American /Australian - depends what style you like.

Of the two, Clara. Lara sounds too stark.

Claire is due a comeback IMO and would make a change from Clara.

I don't consider either of them classic names.

Of the two I much prefer Lara.

The 'cl' sound in Clara is a bit hard & clunky sounding to me & that puts me off it.

I like both names, both are Very common here in Brazil. Have you ever heard Lara's Theme? It's from Doctor Zhivago.

Lara - i imagine a Lara to be a bit fiesty with a sense of adventure and love of the outdoors

I think they're both nice, but Clara fits in with the Victorian theme that is possibly going out of fashion even now and will be dated soon enough. I do find Lara a bit bland, though. I definitely do not think it's Australian/American. It's Russian, short for Larissa.
