Argh, I'm stuck and looking for some inspiration please.

I have a DS called Harris, 2 years after we named him there is a Harris every where I turn. Just found out we are having a DS2. I had my heart set on Struan but they are popping up all over the place.

We are toying over Angus and Innes but not really loving either as much.

Any thoughts? Smile

Corran? Geographical place names for both boys.

FurzeandHarebells · 29/01/2019 16:03

I suppose if you had an Alisa and a Harris most people might not bat an eyelid or a Harris and a Shuna.

I think Harris and Lewis might be a step too far though. Smile

Thanks all so much!
I'm loving Murdo, Monroe and Magnus they all sound like good strong men :) don't know if they go with our surname though - man this is hard.
My hubby is now saying Strachan, not sure I'm convinced 🤔

I’m not convinced that Strachan goes with your surname. And it does rather sound like a solicitors. Grin

I know a super Magnus though and that would sound great.

MikeUniformMike · 29/01/2019 17:32

Most things go with Brodie. How about Gene?

runninginheelsisnotfun · 29/01/2019 17:32

@FurzeandHarebells I totally agree. Killed it I one fair swoop- me to DH: Strachan as in Gordon Strachan?

I love Clyde as a boys name. Although, I live in Glasgow so couldn't call my child it lol My DS is Malachi it's not a Scottish name but Irish.
How about Ruan, Glen, Gordon, Lachlan, Fraser, Cailean, Dougal, Duncan, Euan,
Kyle or Lyle?

Neil / Niall - unusual on children these days.
Ranald - I met a toddler Ranald a little while ago. It suited him really well.

No, no, no only people from Orkney and Shetland can use the name Magnus. It's getting far too popular on these boards. Unless you're happy with the nn Mansie just NO.

Love Thorfinn as well, although tell non-islanders it's the name of the deatheater HP fights in the cafe in Tottenham Court Road.
