I know several kids called Khaleesi! I didn’t know the GoT connection either but I’ve since been told.
The most unusual names I’ve heard for babies recently are

Ebba
Marfulo
LouAnn (spelled that way with the capital A!)
Fronde

And I met a baby Martin last week! Like a tiny fresh squishy baby Martin! That felt unusual to me. He was gorgeous tho!

I love the name Fox! Will be using it for my own DS due shortly.

RedDwarves · 26/01/2019 05:43

I know a baby Emmylou. I don't think her parents are Harris fans either, which makes it all the more unexpected.

AlliKaneErikson · 26/01/2019 05:49

Blanket. I wish I was joking.

I love some of these names! Fox, Delilah, Daphne, Piper, Persephone, Horatio. I even quite like Huckleberry, though you’d have to be Bear Grylls to pull it off...

CoffeeRunner · 26/01/2019 06:20

A few years ago now but Bohemia (Bo for everyday use) with a little brother Baroque (Rocky).

Another Boh! But written like that - with the exclamation mark Confused. Although that can’t be on official documents - can it?

Lincoln.
Ophelia (actually a nice name but the teasing possibilities would put me off).
Zen (boy).

aliceelizaloves · 26/01/2019 06:25

I live in an area where boys all seem to have cutesy 'ie' names like Freddie, Alfie, Albie, etc and girls are called Evie, Ava, Ivy etc. People often say my son's name is unusual (it's not). So the most unusual ones in groups I go to are probably the common but retro ones. I know a baby Dennis and baby John and a little Margaret (called.Meg).

Slapdasherie · 26/01/2019 06:26

Persephone is a lovely name!

My son has a friend called Galileo, he gets called Gally.

yellowpen · 26/01/2019 06:34

Babbaganoush · 26/01/2019 06:40

Bramble (a boy)

FranklinTheCat · 26/01/2019 06:52

Orli (girl). In my sleep-deprived state, it took a high level of self-control not to say "oh, lovely, like the airport in Paris?".Grin
Juniper

TickleMeEmo · 26/01/2019 06:55

Candace19 · 26/01/2019 07:08

Not a baby name but I know of a teenager called Sunshine Bright. I kid you not!

Nemo, maybe after the captain, but people will always think of the fish and the mum really didn't seem like a Disney fan. He must be 8 now, his mum must have so much rage from the the fish comments. Why would you?

CatsCatsCats11 · 26/01/2019 08:40

Neyo
GiGi

mama1980 · 26/01/2019 08:40

Oak
Fenrir
Diamond
I also know a baby Bob and Alan. Sounded strange on babies so small but I like both 🙂

Most usual name around here is Lily by a mile, we know 12 all under 7.

Marcipex · 26/01/2019 08:45

Moss. Saw one on page one of this thread. I wonder if it's the same one.
Leaf. Definitely not Leif.
Pixie, she's very cute so it suits her.
Mona , I thought they were joking because she'd cried a lot but they weren't Blush

starshollow1 · 26/01/2019 08:50

Forest - all very neutral so not sure if boy or girl Blush
Winter - girl
Merlin - boy
Boadi- boy

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/01/2019 09:19

I love Forest for a boy....but the poor child will be forever plagued with taunts of “I’m Forest, Forest Gump” and “Ok Jennaaayy” Blush
