Would you use this for a girl or a boy??Shock

Makes me think of Morgan Freeman (who is amazing) ... but I don't think I'd use it at all to be honest. Sounds more like a surname... or German for 'morning'...

claret3189 · 24/01/2019 23:14

Like it for a girl

SweetbutAPsycho · 24/01/2019 23:18

My DN is called Morgan. She really suits it so it's a girls name imo

bionicnemonic · 24/01/2019 23:21

I knew a (cool) guy called Morgan several years ago

ProfessorCustard · 24/01/2019 23:27

I love it for a girl. It sounds cool.

Choccywoccyhooha · 24/01/2019 23:28

I know a boy and a woman called Morgan. I much prefer it for a girl.

Ribbonsonabox · 24/01/2019 23:29

For a girl. Love it! Makes me think of King Arthur stories. Morgan le Fay etc

HanarCantWearSweaters · 24/01/2019 23:31

Morgana is also nice.

DramaAlpaca · 24/01/2019 23:32

I like it on a girl.

Sophronia · 24/01/2019 23:34

It’s one of the few names that I like for both a boy and a girl.

Calzone · 24/01/2019 23:34

I know lots of Morgan’s.

I don’t like it because most of them are called Morgy for short and it makes me cringe.

WrapAndRoll · 25/01/2019 00:14

I see it as s boys name.

sue51 · 25/01/2019 00:17

Morgana is nice. Not keen on Morgan for a boy or girl.

cinemalover · 25/01/2019 00:38

I'd use for a girl personally, and I love it! :)

FartnissEverbeans · 25/01/2019 03:46

I like it for a girl more than a boy. It reminds me of the poet Edwin Morgan.

HeronLanyon · 25/01/2019 03:51

Was going to say more of a boys name but actually I think it is pretty unisex. If a girl would think so close to Megan which I think is a nicer name.
Agree I also thought with thinking ‘morgen’ - German for ‘morning’ - when there say/hear it all the time with curt nods.

AlbertWinestein · 25/01/2019 03:55

Morgan is my nieces name, named after my late grandfather. Both great people and a lovely name.

HeronLanyon · 25/01/2019 04:10

I also like the name btw

tammytoby · 25/01/2019 07:14

It's unisex! I know both.

BrieAndOatcakes · 25/01/2019 07:25

I know both but prefer it on a boy. Think it's a bit tacky for a girl tbh (maybe cos it makes me think of the Morgan bags that were so popular when I was at high school!) but has a different feel on a boy.

Shadow1234 · 25/01/2019 08:56

Really like the name and think it suits girls or boys.

spiderlight · 25/01/2019 09:23

I'm in Wales and know lots of Morgans, all boys.

BuffaloCauliflower · 25/01/2019 09:26

I like the meaning, ‘of the sea’. The only Morgan I know is a woman so I think of it as a female name first, but wouldn’t question it for a guy. I think it’s one of the few really unisex names.

daisypond · 25/01/2019 10:38

I only know a male Morgan. It's nice.

MikeUniformMike · 25/01/2019 10:47

It's a boy's name. I think the fact that it rhymes with organ is enough to rule it out.
Morgane is pretty.
