Boys name similar to Kit?

Baby boy is due is a week and still has no name.

I love Kit, but I don't want Christopher or Christian and not sure that it works as a standalone name? I also like Gus, but having similar issues with not liking long versions so much

We both wanted Ezra the whole pregnancy but we've gone off it now.

We've got 2 girls already with 'old style' names so don't want anything too out there.

Any ideas?

I also think Kit works well as a stand alone name, or Kitto?
I have a Rafe and a Milo, might be along a similar vein...

I think short names are fab.
I know a Kit and he is gorgeous. It's a brilliant name.

Thanks for the great suggestions! I’m trying to steer away from anything that can be shortened to Chris (bad associations) so that rules out Crispin as well which is a shame because I really like it.

Kitt with two ts might be what we go for...it does feel like more of a complete name.

What did you pick in the end @Namehelpplease1985. I'm here as I love the name Kit also but not sure about it on its own. My other names weirdly are Idris and Gus!

Also interested to know what she went for! I love Kit too (due summer) and if I used it I’d just put Kit on the birth certificate. Really don’t like any of the long versions enough to ever want to use them! Only 9 Kits were registered here last year though which makes me think most people put Christopher. We’re between that and our original name, Harris, (we’re in Scotland) which is now popular. We had a reason why we couldn’t use every name we liked, most either rhymes with someone else’s name or were already taken in our family. Love Jasper, Finn, Freddie, Ari, Jenson.. Fergus was another maybe.
