Twin names...again

YouAreKiddingMoi · 14/01/2019 15:35

I've posted about this before, but pregnancy hormones and the passage of time have me back here again.....

I'm having twin girls and I've a section booked fr the 2nd week of Feb.

I had toyed with using version of family names as first names but I've totally gone off that idea as I'd like them to have their own names.

I already have Dd14 and Ds2 who have names starting K and C.

So the current shortlist is:
Ruby
Iris
Cora
Scarlett
Isabel
Stella
Hannah
Roslyn

I think Ruby is a front runner, the others all have some sort of issue..... its sooo hard

Thoughts or alternatives anyone?

Thank you!!

Roslyn and Stella would be my choices.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/01/2019 15:40

Well if Ruby is the front runner.
I'd go with
Ruby and Iris
Ruby and Cora

Other ideas
Ruby and
Lois
Elsa
Erin
Lily
Maud
Isla
Ella
Evie

I like Ruby and Hannah. Cora is also nice.

Any pair but not ruby and Scarlett!

Hannah is the nicest from your list.

Hannah and Emma
Hannah and Rebecca
Hannah and Matilda

flumpybear · 14/01/2019 16:38

I like it thst ruby and Scarlett are both types of red colour, albeit I wouldn't pick those names but like the concept if that makes
Sense

Peachbubble · 14/01/2019 16:40

Ruby and Scarlett sound a bit too much red together for me. I like Ruby and Iris, or Ruby and Cora,

ReginaPhalange89 · 14/01/2019 16:44

Ruby & Cora are both lovely.

DramaAlpaca · 14/01/2019 16:45

I'd pick Ruby & Iris or Ruby & Cora.

Not Ruby & Scarlett, too much of a red theme going on there.

Huffleypuff · 14/01/2019 16:47

Any but Ruby and Scarlett.

I have twins too, the number of grown up twins who spoke to me when I was pregnancy and said not to give them ‘twin’ names!

DeadDoorpost · 14/01/2019 16:53

Ruby and Jade?
Ruby and Pearl?

The idea of having semi-precious stones for their names is nice. Maybe because I'm having to think of baby names too and I'm stuck. 🙈

Icklepup · 14/01/2019 16:56

Ruby and Stella

HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone · 14/01/2019 17:01

Please try to think of them as 2 people. They don't need names which match because they are the same amount of letters or a variant of the same colour. If you like Ruby then use Ruby and find another name that you like. Just make sure your choosing the second name because you like it as a name, not because it 'goes' with or matches Ruby.

Hanab · 14/01/2019 17:02

I personally love the name Ruby but would choose another precious stone as a name for twin B like sapphire Emerald Amethyst opal .. that’s just me cheesy 🙈

KarenDarling · 14/01/2019 17:38

Ruby and Delilah
Ruby and Penelope
Ruby and Autumn

Greyhound22 · 14/01/2019 17:40

Hannah and Roslyn are me and my mum so I go for that :D

Don't think I have ever seen another Roslyn.

I know twin girls called Ruby and Daisy, their names work well together.

From your list I like Ruby and Cora.
