I really like it . Not too common but not unusual. Definitely prefer it to Lily (which is still lovely just too common).
Also don't like any longer versions like Lilia etc. Not keen on those. Def Lara !

I like this name and was going to call my daughter it 21 years ago, but my husband did the veto because it made him think of Brian Lara who is apparently a very famous cricketer. After this Lara Croft became very famous, so I was glad I didn't use it.

Laura is a nice variation of it, if you're looking for something similar.

My DD is Lara and her best friend is Lily! Both lovely names but Lara is my favourite.

Lara is lovely. No pronunciation issues, easy to spell, heard of but not too common!

Lara is lovely. I like all the Lily- names but would still slightly prefer Lara I think. Also Lily itself, though nice, could be thought of as a bit cutesy in a way that Lara isn't. And also it has been overused in recent years.

Lara is gorgeous. Don’t think I can use it because a Laura made my life a misery in sixth form, I’ve got a Tara in my immediate family and one of my closest friends is a Sara. I knew a stunningly beautiful, talented and posh Lara growing up and that’s still who I envisage when I hear it.

Went for lara as middle name for my DD as DH is a big tomb raider fan!

I have one (and am a tomb raider fan!!) So obviously I love it Lovely sounding name, not unusual but you don't get many of them about.

Seeing all the Lara love here though, maybe it's due a surge!
