Baby girl shortlist

We’re expecting our third child in spring, already have a boy and a girl both have traditional names. I wanted opinions on our current shortlist for girls names (don’t know the sex but girls causing most conflict!). What do you prefer and why out of the following? Penelope, Nancy and Claudia?

  1. Penelope - always been one of my favourites. Classic and I don’t know any.

Penelope - don’t like it, not sure why.

Claudia - very pretty and also not very common. I would definitely go with this choice from your list.

Nancy - it’s a bit boring

I love Penelope, wanted to call my DD Penelope but DH wasn't keen.

Claudia, pretty name.

Don't like Nancy at all, sorry. Penelope is fine, but I'm not a fan of Penny, I like Nell though as a nn. Claudia would be my choice of the three. I know a 7 year old Claudia and 2 adults with the name.

There are about eleventy billion little girls called Nancy where I live. I love Penelope.

I like all 3 names but Claudia would be my choice

Penelope and Nancy are both very 'now' so may seem dated in 15 years time. Claudia is more a timeless classic IMO

Thanks everyone for your responses! Claudia is probably my favourite but my husband isn’t a fan. He says it sounds too harsh! 🥴

I like Penelope and you can call her Nell for short.
I also like Esme, thought this might fit your brief?
