In a bid to try and get this overdue baby moving tonight, anyone have suggestions for a winter solstice name for her?

Lucy as St Lucy’s day is around the solstice and she is associated with light.

I know a Midwinter (middle name) I think its a fab name.

You could play safe with Claire or Klara.

Ah yes, anything with light - Lucy.

Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe time...

Rowan?

Come on , little one - we want you to come out from the comfy bump and and be named by the MN fairy godmothers :) It's a good night to be born on.

Quite magical. Shooting stars and a full moon.

How much more of an entrance would you like?

Pigletpoglet · 21/12/2018 21:42

Kalista...

Birthday Cake for Rosalind!

Can we settle in with some mulled wine as well? Keep us posted OP and good luck with the birth. My little one was born on 26 Dec. 9 years ago. Its a magical time to have a baby, and brings home the real spirit of Christmas.

Whatever you believe, a midwinter baby is rather lovely gift.

cropcirclesinthefields · 21/12/2018 21:43

I like Artemis she's the Greek goddess and Diana is the Roman counterpart.

Buxbaum · 21/12/2018 21:46

yes, it’s the Ursid meteor shower. How about Ursula?

KisstheTeapot14 · 21/12/2018 21:46

How about Blaise for a babe with a firey spirit?

A quick dance round a bonfire will get things moving OP. Or dancing generally if no bonfire handy right now.

Petalflowers · 21/12/2018 21:49

Eirlys (Welsh for snowdrop)

Trampire · 22/12/2018 09:36

Another vote for Eira.

I'm a Welsh speaker and even growing up it was still fairly unused in my experience.

It's beautiful. Just conjures up pure, untouched, clean snow. So perfect for a baby.

Reaa · 22/12/2018 09:46

Love the name Eira

daisypond · 22/12/2018 09:47

I think Solstice could be OK in itself, actually.

FoxgloveStar · 22/12/2018 15:02

Despite the moon hitting my enormous bump through the skylight all last night, I am, alas, still pregnant. Know that this thread is contributing to me not going insane due to being overdue. :)
