My daughter’s name is Primrose Lillian. We are expecting another girl (yay!) and are struggling with names. We like old fashioned names and have a few we are considering, but none of them jump out. Have any thoughts or suggestions?

Here’s the current shortlist-
Clementine
Charlotte (worried it’s too popular)
Scarlett
Violet
Augusta or August
Florence
Iris

I came on to say violet or clementine if you don't want the matching flower combo.

I agree that Charlotte is too popular particularly compared to primrose

What about Evelyn?

It would be lovely to keep the flower theme as your daughter has two flowers with Primrose and Lillian (Lily).
Violet, Iris, Ivy, Holly, Daisy, Jasmine Heather and Poppy are all cute.
Or how about Willow, Hazel, Flora or Fern?

YouSetTheTone · 20/12/2018 09:17

Florence
Emmeline
Camilla

If I was you I’m not sure I’d go for another overtly floral name but then again plenty of people have two ‘biblical/ traditional’ etc names for DC and it’s the same thing... if you love it then why not! I think both Violet and Iris are nice.

Flamingosnbears · 20/12/2018 17:26

Clementine is lovely with primrose or how about Whisteria...

My husband loves Clara but he basically only likes it pronounced the way Clara was pronounced in dr. Who. When I finally told him it would be pronounced “Claire-ah” here (we are in the States) he didn’t like it. So funny.

I think Primrose and Pearl have a similar feel, and sound so lovely together.
