Roux (French)- boy

I'm looking for thoughts on the name Roux ---pronounced row. My great uncle has this middle name and we are looking for something that shows our French Heritage.

Do people just think of roux sauce? Like it/hate it?

Yes, the difference in the ou and u pronunciation is very important in French. If you mispronounce merci beaucoup you can end up telling someone "thank you, nice arse"🤣

How about Rou. (like Rou Reynolds)
Yes, Rou is pronounced row (like an argument not like row your boat), whereas I'd assume Roux was pronounced Roo.
