As a nickname for Beatrix? Love Beatrix but Bea is everywhere!

Sounds like bickie (short for biscuit)
Or Bix Beiderbecke
It’s a bit odd really

Raglansleeve · 14/12/2018 15:45

Beattie of Trixie are nicer - Bixie sounds like a dog chew!

MadameJosephine · 14/12/2018 15:45

Trixie is a nice nn fir Beatrix

Bixie isn’t, sorry

Jfw82 · 14/12/2018 15:46

It sounds like a nickname and I wouldn't associate with Beatrix , what about trixie?

CrookedMe · 14/12/2018 15:51

Ooh no, sounds like a dog treat.

SassitudeandSparkle · 14/12/2018 15:52

Bixie, like the Lidl version of weetabix? No!

dogmum0 · 14/12/2018 15:55

I had a dog called Trixie as a child so can't use that! My Nanna used to have a friend Beatrix who was known as Bixie and I always liked it, the dog chew thing is putting me off! Like Beattie...

What about BiBi? I’ve a friend with this nickname and always thought it was lovely!

MrsFoxPlus4 · 14/12/2018 16:29

I think nicknames just come naturally

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 14/12/2018 16:31

Biccie

Luckingfovely · 14/12/2018 16:33

I think it's odd too, sorry. Bibi would be nicer.

Lynne45 · 14/12/2018 16:44

It sounds strange. I would use Trixie or just stick with Beatrix - not everyone has a nickname.

ifigoup · 14/12/2018 16:49

What about Brix, like Brix Smith Start? That’s pretty cool.

ReginaPhalange89 · 14/12/2018 17:49

Sorry but I agree it sounds like a dog chew

Shockers · 14/12/2018 17:50

I love it!

GinIsIn · 14/12/2018 17:51

I would think you meant pixie but had a blocked nose, TBH

Santababyclaus · 14/12/2018 18:30

I think it's fine as a diminutive, it kind of makes sense but I expect people will think you're shouting out Pixie

WilburforceRaven · 14/12/2018 18:40

What? That sounds like a dog's name. Nicknames are something that comes about naturally. Why not just name your kid the daft name and be done with it.

Crimbobimbo · 14/12/2018 18:45

No

ItWentInMyEye · 14/12/2018 18:47

It makes me think of weetabix to be honest 😬

CloserIAm2Fine · 14/12/2018 20:19

It’s awful

Bibi or Trixie are far better

MollyHuaCha · 14/12/2018 20:36

No to Bixie.

Ohyesiam · 14/12/2018 20:41

Step 1
Meet your child
Step 2
See what name might get suit them
Step 3
Let nick names form naturally

Polkasq · 14/12/2018 20:45

Sounds like it's short for Weetabix

Wooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhhhh · 14/12/2018 20:46

No. It sounds like Biccie.
