Isadora or Isolde?

I prefer Isadora, DH prefers Isolde so looking for your opinions. Already have a 3 year old Juno.

Isadora, though you'd need to be prepared for her to be called Izzy and people will assume her name is Isabelle.

I utterly adore the name Isolde. Adore it.

Isolde is a lovely name. Isadora is nice, but will always be Wizadora to many.

(And there goes the Wizadora theme in my head again... funny how some things stay with you)

I prefer Isolde but not sure if people would struggle with pronunciation.

I would also give a major slap to anyone trying to shorten it.

I think Izzy and Dora are equally probable, in the same way that Izzy or Bella would be for Isabella.

Isadora. I prefer Dora as a shortened form, but Izzy/Isa seems more natural to me (as it does for Isabella) so I think you would need to be prepared for her to potentially become Izzy at school etc.

Isolde is much nicer.

Isolde. Unless your husband likes Wagner in which case, definitely Isadora.
