Elliot, but prefer it spelled Elliott.

Oof, dislike the Elliott spelling! I definitely prefer 'original' spellings (although I am aware Elliott is an acceptable alternative) but I just prefer Elliot :)

Prefer Elliott (whichever way you spell it) to Joseph.

Elliot, it's a lovely name. I think Joseph is wet. Also, if you are worried about the name being ten-a-penny, far more children were named Joseph coming in at 28th most used name than Elliot, 69th most popular.

Elliott has already had a long run of popularity after appearing from nowhere though. Bit like Darren or Tracey.

I love Joseph. Not a fan of Elliot at all.

Joseph is one of my favourite boy names. Lovely strong name that does date.

I much prefer Joseph, too. I like that it's masculine but still has the softness of the 'ph' ending.

Elliott feels like an anagram of 'toilet' to me, both when written and spoken.

Love both but Elliot is my favourite!
