Hello!!

So I have found out we are having a baby boy and I love both of the names, and I really can't decide which to go for?
So do you prefer Cillian or Connor, a bit of public feedback always helps me before deciding on a name!

Thanks!!

Hhmmm they remind me of either Connor McGregor or Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders!!

I’d go with Cillian as less common...

TatianaLarina · 22/10/2018 10:09

Conor. Connor is a surname.

Cbeebiesrehab · 22/10/2018 10:14

Cillian 100%

Peachbubble · 22/10/2018 10:15

Cillian

TatianaLarina · 22/10/2018 10:16

To answer your question, if you’re Irish both are nice. If you’re not they’re both the new Liam and will date - Cillian particularly to Peaky Blinders.

noseoftralee · 22/10/2018 10:16

Conor.

CaseStudyResearch · 22/10/2018 10:17

Cillian.

Linked0ut · 22/10/2018 10:19

Conor - with one n though.

I like Cillian too but Conor is a high king legend name so it won't date. Cillian is more cyclical I think. Just a theory.

busymamakins1 · 22/10/2018 10:26

Haha thanks folks!! Cillian is getting more positive feedback so far ♥️
I'd quite happily change the spelling of Connor to Conor x

Definitely Conor!

MemoryOfSleep · 22/10/2018 10:36

I don't know how it's pronounced properly, but Cillian to me reads as silly 'un! I'd go with Connor/Conor.

Rinceoir · 22/10/2018 10:39

I’m Irish and like both. But spelled Conor!

mikado1 · 22/10/2018 10:56

Love both, have one ;)

Cathal, Conall and Cormac also nice?

CaseStudyResearch · 22/10/2018 10:57

Cillian.

wombatsears · 22/10/2018 11:05

Love Cillian!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/10/2018 11:34

Connor by a billion miles. Really not a fan of Cillian.

RavenWings · 22/10/2018 11:40

Cillian is much nicer than Conor. But if you're going to use Conor, spell it that way.

SuperstarDJ · 22/10/2018 12:13

Cillian. It’s less widely used than Conor in my neck of the woods though well known enough that it’s nevrt mispronounced or misspelt.

TheVeryHungryDieter · 22/10/2018 12:14

Cillian. Although I know a little Killian in London too.

I like Conall as much as either of those OP, what do you think about that name?

FangTasticFeast · 22/10/2018 12:15

Connor. I have one but he’s an adult now spelt with 2 ns

WeeDoughball · 22/10/2018 12:16

Conor. We considered it but oldest DC has 4 in their nursery class which ruled it out for us (not in Ireland)

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 22/10/2018 12:18

Conor, definitely.

Agree about the spelling though- Connor is the surname, Conor the first name.

E20mom · 22/10/2018 12:26

Conor definitely

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 22/10/2018 12:30

Conor

itssquidstella · 22/10/2018 12:32

Cillian is lovely. I really dislike Connor.
