I've basically just uploaded a screenshot of the baby name list I've saved on my phone. I'm too lazy to type out the full list 🙈

So which is your favourite boy and girl name from each of my lists?

Any on the list that you absolutely despise? Be honest

Any other name suggestions that you think I may like based on the names already on my list?

Thanks ladies x

The two names that stand out to me for negative reasons are Grayson (because it sounds a bit too much like trying to be different) and Scarlett (because my brain automatically hears harlot after it 😳).

I like the rest of your list. Sebastian and Rosalie are both on my names lists.

PurpleFlowersInMyHair · 02/10/2018 23:43

I like George and Florence

The only name I dislike is Grayson, I think it’s a bit depressing (must be the image of gray) and it’s more like a surname

Secretmystery · 02/10/2018 23:48

I don't like Grayson.

Like Albie and George.

Don't like Fern. Could be because of my accent which does Fern no favours. The rest of your girls' names are nice. I particularly like Bonnie, Violet and Florence.

Nogodsnomasters · 02/10/2018 23:50

I love Sebastian, it was my no.1 name for my ds when pregnant but my dh veto'd it as he couldn't stop thinking of the crab from the little mermaid but I still love it to this day and if we ever had another ds I'd probably still try to talk him into this name lol. The only one I like on your girls list is Ivy.

Colddaytoday · 02/10/2018 23:54

Rosalie- love
George- yes

The rest- no

BewareOfDragons · 02/10/2018 23:58

Sebastian and Grayson are my favourites. Love both names for boys.

The only girl's name on your list I like is Madeleine, but it's too popular for my taste. I also like another version of Violet, Violetta.

I like Oscar and Violet

Picknickers · 03/10/2018 00:22

I don't like Grayson. Like a pp it's too grey for me. Really dislike Albie. Incomplete and to me...apologies...it's such a wet name. Love most of your girl's list.

moredoll · 03/10/2018 00:23

Sebastian
Finn

Rosalie (or Rosa)

OlennasWimple · 03/10/2018 00:24

I don't like Ted / Teddie - call him Edward and see if the NN Ted sticks, but at least give him the option of a grown up name in later life

Grayson...I don't mind actually, though it brings to mind Grayson Perry (which may or may not matter to you)

Mae looks a bit try hard, and I'd go with May - though it's a very common name in some areas at the moment

Scarlett - poor Ms O'Hara, I couldn't call a child that!

Rebecca36 · 03/10/2018 00:26

Oscar
Sebastien
George

Rosalie
Florence

Ted should be Edward and Albie, Albert! Nothing worse than diminutives being given as full names. Give the whole name and shorten it if he or she wants it.

ConsiderHerWaysAndOthers · 03/10/2018 00:35

In order I like Sebastian, George and Oscar for a boy. I would also add Teddy if it were short for Theodore or Edward. Finn is alright. Since you asked I don’t like Greyson and especially despise Albie.

In order of preference I like following of your girl’s names: Madeleine, Florence, Violet, Ivy and Scarlett. Rosalie is ok, Mae would be better if spelt May, Penny I like but I would have it be short for Penelope. Fern is not my taste and Bonnie is awful.

JaneJeffer · 03/10/2018 01:00

I like Finn and Violet

LittleFilly · 03/10/2018 02:38

I like Madeleine and Sebastian

TheMythicalChicken · 03/10/2018 03:08

Sebastian & Bonnie.

fieryginger · 03/10/2018 03:32

I like George and Florence/Violet

Congratulations!

Beauteafully · 03/10/2018 03:39

I want to also add that the middle name and last name will affect as well. Syllable flow is important. Just my two thoughts.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 03/10/2018 04:13

Grayson & Bonnie

starkid · 03/10/2018 04:24

I like Sebastian & Finn, and despise Albie and Scarlett.

starkid · 03/10/2018 04:25

Oh! The whole girls list hadn't shown till now. I like Rosalie :)

Peachbubble · 03/10/2018 06:23

I like Finn, Rosalie, Ivy and Violet

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/10/2018 06:25

Sebastian and Rosalie

Really dislike Grayson and Bonnie

Bridgetwithoutthejones · 03/10/2018 07:25

I like Finn and love Bonnie and Violet
Really dislike Grayson and Penny

tartanscot · 03/10/2018 08:41

Teddy: cute name but it's going through a bit of a fad.
Albie: really like this.
Oscar: really like this.
George: very cute name.
Sebastian: it's okay.
Grayson: I like it, although I'd probably spell it Greyson.
Finn: not keen.

Penny: really like this.
Scarlett: not keen, seems stripper-ish.
Fern: really like this.
Violet: same as Scarlett.
Bonnie: not keen.
Mae: not keen.
Madeleine: don't like it as a full name, Maddie would be okay.
Rosalie: love this.
Florence: love this.
Ivy: really like this.

I'd go with Albie or Greyson
or
Rosalie or Florence
