I really like this name for a girl, but DH has reservations 😂

Dd's middle name is Amelia so maybe just me thinking it looks like a nn for that!

It's the French version of Amelia. I think it's pretty but I can imagine people pronouncing it wrong!

I don't like it. It feels very dated to me (the film must be nearly 20 years old now) and somewhat cutesy. It's been pretty popular for years, I think. I prefer Amelia.

Beautiful name. My daughter is Amelia and was nearly Amelie. One of my friends has a little girl called Amelie and the name really suits her.

Amelie is lovely, much nicer than Amelia imo.

I know of two, an adult in her 30's and a 7 year old.

I pretty surprised that there are posters who think Amelie is made up! It’s not a particularly uncommon name.

It's not an unusual name! I know a few, oldest is 28, youngest is 5.

I love the film Amelie! So do my best friends and they are naming their daughter Amelie (if they have a girl that is...)

I love the name Amelie, French DH wasn't overly keen.

I find it a little dull around so many Emilys, Amelias, Emilias, Amelies and Millies
