Does anyone like the name Roger?

I love the name but I'm struggling to picture a baby called it - and I'm worried that it's dated.

It may be dated but it's not a bad name. He'll grow into it just fine. If you love it, use it. What other people think doesn't matter.

No, sorry OP. Simply because I went to school with one who was then called 'dodgy Roger' by the less than kind students.

It is not a good name for children. It is the name of my dad's generation. Known as 'Rog' for short. Not good.

Also Roger is the alcoholic alien in American dad and that's what a lot of younger people will associate with it. I wouldn't use it OP. Sex and aliens.. poor baby

to 'roger' - the verb - apparently came about because of the rural tradition of calling all bulls Roger.

Oh no. One of my DC said they like the name Roger. I told them I'd disown them if they called a baby that! (They are teenage and hopefully a very long way off having kids before anyone thinks I'm being an interfering mother!)
