A new child at dgd’s School is called Tallis. I have never heard it before. What do you think?

I have a friend called Tallis, late 20s. She's quirky just like her name. I'd never heard it as a name until I met her but it's a beautiful name.

Lovely- I’m not really a fan of unusual names but I like that one!

It makes me think 'talis' which is the domain name of the website that my former university used for reading lists.

But I don't imagine that's a common association.

I actually literally like it. I read it and thought ugh but then I heard it in my head and love it. Have two friends with Alice though so might be weird.

Surname, not first name, imo.

It’s what DH wanted to call DD! It’s onenof our favourite pieces of music (Variations on a theme of Thomas Tallis). I really like the but wasn’t brave enough!
