QuestionableMouse · 16/09/2018 19:00

No.

It's a river and (ugly) port, not a name.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2018 19:02

No.

Unless she has a twin called Wear.

FlosCampi · 16/09/2018 19:03

And people might pronounce it Tiny.

Hairytangerine · 16/09/2018 19:03

As it all mine all mine?

Haberpop · 16/09/2018 19:04

Makes me think of the shipping forecast "Tyne, Dogger, Fisher..."

NaiceViper · 16/09/2018 19:04

Well, they're right down in 19th place (of 20) in the Premier League, but it's always an interesting football team to follow.

it's better than listing the entire NUFC squad as a middle name, and although too much of a surname for me to really take to it, it's a heck of a lot better than Magpie.

Disfordarkchocolate · 16/09/2018 19:06

As in Tyne Daley? I like it.

girlandboy · 16/09/2018 19:07

Newcastle upon.......

Please don't

Sleephead1 · 16/09/2018 19:08

I live in Tyne and wear so it would be no for me sorry

HopeGarden · 16/09/2018 19:09

I think it’s one where you’d need to live well away from northeast England and the river Tyne.

IggyAce · 16/09/2018 19:13

Sorry makes me think of Tyne and Wear. If you’re well away from the north east you may get away with it.

SweatyFretty · 16/09/2018 19:15

Do you have a particular affinity for the river?

Nquartz · 16/09/2018 19:19

Ridiculous!

daisypond · 16/09/2018 19:23

Not my style, but perhaps OK. I know two people (girls) named after rivers, so I don't see why not, actually, if you want to be a bit alternative.

BikeRunSki · 16/09/2018 19:23

Worked ok for Tyne Daley, and the upper reaches of the river Tyne are beautiful.

SweatyFretty · 16/09/2018 19:25

There was that Love Island girl actually... Tyne-Lexi.

MikeUniformMike · 16/09/2018 19:32

Bailey and Shannon were popular a few years ago

Ceeeeeelia · 16/09/2018 19:33

Biscay could work? Not sure about Dogger, though!

GinIsIn · 16/09/2018 19:33

No. Just no.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2018 19:33

Worked ok for Tyne Daley

Who is thousands of miles away from The Tyne.

ifoundthebread · 16/09/2018 19:34

I live in Tyne and Wear, so it's a no from me.

ShimmeringIce · 16/09/2018 19:36

I like it, not heard it before. Do you have a connection to the region?

MikeUniformMike · 16/09/2018 19:39

Finisterre or Fitzroy for a boy?

BigRedBoat · 16/09/2018 19:41

The fog on the Tyne is all mine....

FoxesSitOnBoxes · 16/09/2018 19:41

I live in Tyne and Wear and I think it would be a lovely name for someone with connections to the area
