Names with O in them

pixieloux · 16/09/2018 15:13

Looking for names that have the letter O in them - ideas for both genders welcome but mostly boy’s names are needed please!

We’ve started an unintentional (and until v. recently unnoticed) theme with our LO’s names (Aurora, Theo & Violet) and even our dog’s name is Bobby lol. I’m also fluttering my lashes at DH for a smaller pet to get to use my ultimate ‘guilty pleasure’ name, Elwood which fits in the theme WinkGrin

We like names that can be shortened (George is on the list but we can’t think of any shortened forms we could potentially use) and that are still different enough in sound (no Theo and Milo, for example) Thanks!

Zoe is great with those, as is Leo

I don't know why, but I thought of Montgomery (Monty).

pixieloux · 16/09/2018 15:38

@finallychangedmyusername You’re literally a star lol.

Ludo is definitely on my if we get another pet name list lol. Tobias/Toby was on our list for a boy but not sure on initial sharing especially with the same sex... Can anyone guess my favourite childhood film? 😂 Not sure about Leo/Cleo and Theo despite loving Cleo so much 💔

Is “O” really a theme as such. It’s just the 4th most frequently used letter in English. Of course it’s going to crop up a lot.

@BikeRunSki - I don’t know, it was pointed out to me by another user on a previous thread I posted (see above). It honestly wasn’t something we’d ever noticed before that. A few of the girls names on our list share the internal o similarity so I was just looking for some ideas for boys names to see if any ideas sparked as we obviously tend to like names with that sound in it... It’s not something we’re definitely going to limit ourselves to.
