Ma-la-KAI
or
Ma-la-KEE

Is there any other ways you'd spell it too?

Definitely the second one IMO... kee.

I’ve known several (DD’s classes) and it’s always been Kai. Maybe it depends on where you are- I’m in London

That spelling = Kai.

But in Ireland, Malachy = kee.

I probably wouldn't pronounce it with a hard K. Where I am, it's generally pronounced Malaghy Grin. Although that's not to say that it's the correct pronunciation!

But that's only because of my Irish Heritage, I think the overall opinion is Kai..

Actually, the “kee” I know has Irish roots and is spelt Malachy. The “Kai” has not, and is Malachi.
