Malachi

Is it pronounced
Ma-la-KAI
or
Ma-la-KEE

Is there any other ways you'd spell it too?

Thank you 😊

I thought Malachi (Malakai) was biblical and Malachy (Malakee) was Irish?

I have no idea which is right though as despite my family having Irish Catholic roots I have no knowledge of either!

Kai. Never heard of kee.

Although DH pronounced it the first time on reading it (having never heard the name said before) as Ma-lachi!

I agree with others above that Malachi is pronounced -kai at the end and Malachy, which is Irish, is -kee at the end.

Sonly ever heard the first one, kai

Malachi is Biblical and pronounced with Kai at the end.

Malachy is a separate Irish name pronounced with Kee at the end.
