Which do people prefer?

I like Arlo, though it is becoming very trendy.

Really really don’t like any of the others.

I love Beau, but think it’s a bit marmite!

Second favourite is Arlo, but I think it’s quite popular now... I also HATE ‘the good dinosaur’ movie and it makes me think of that. Having said that, I do like the name, the Guthrie connection and know a very gorgeous young Arlo. He is three and a half and Irish. Sounds especially nice in a rhotic accent imo!

Abel: fratricide.
Arlo: very nice.
Bodhi: not my cup of tea.
Beau: I prefer Arlo but Beau would be nice as well.

I like Abel. But I would immediately assume anyone with an Abel was religious.

Strongly dislike the rest. Beau and Bodhi, in particular.

The only one I’d consider using is Abel.

I don’t like Arlo at all (just preference no reason)

I always think Bodhi is an odd name to choose unless you are Buddhist.

Beau - is potentially risky. What if the adult isn’t handsome?

Sorry if this is a bit presumptuous, seeing as you didn’t ask for any suggestions, but have you thought about Abraham instead of Abel? Abe for short. Makes me think of Lincoln rather than the bible !

I love Bodhi!

Beau's teen friends will spell it Bo and call him Bobo and Bonobo (like the ape). If he can get through that then it's a lovely name. I survived being called 'pilchard' as a teen (due to my surname).
Although it does come with the risk of further teasing if he's really not very 'beau' at all ...

I like Abel and Arlo.

Arlo is the only one I like but then again everyone may pronounce them differently so may be hard to get advice without hearing your version of the name

I like Abel. There was a baby on the postnatal ward called Abel when I had my daughter and it struck me then as a different but lovely name.

Abel is much the best. Arlo is overused, and will be very dated in about six months, Beau is plain awful (and people frequently point out the risks of calling a child who turns out to be clumsy Grace, or a chunky kid Willow etc, so I would consider whether being called a 'Beautiful' AND an old-fashioned name for 'boyfriend'/'suitor' wouldn't be potentially awful), and Bodhi will forever being the bank-robbing surfer played by Patrick Swayze in one of the worst films ever made, Point Break. And yes, it was 1991, but it's got a bad film cult longevity thing.

Arlo and Abel are the best in my opinion.

Bodhi is hideous, and Beau is very wet (plus, what if he doesn't turn out to be a looker and gets relentlessly teased about his unbefitting name?)

I know a very handsome grown up Beau and Abel.
I like Arlo, but we have family from somerset who pronounce it Aaarrrrrrrr-lo, which puts me off a bit.
Bodhi also lovely!
